After announcing on social media that his girlfriend Nicole Joson is now his fiancee last September 1, Makisig Morales told PUSH why he decided to propose to the Fil-Australian beauty.

"Nakilala ko po siya sa isang gathering with friends. She became my friend. At that time, I was at my lowest. Pero nakilala ko si Nicole and siya ulit yung nagpasaya sakin. Eventually, I slowly fell for her and decided to tell her my feelings. Then it struck me really hard that I know she will be the one that I can be with for rest of my life," he revealed.

The 21-year-old Bagani actor proposed in Perth, Australia over a candlelight dinner.

"Nag-propose ako sa C Restaurant na isang fine dining sa Perth. It’s a revolving restaurant na habang kumakain kayo umiikot yung buong floor ng restaurant at makikita mo yung buong Perth.

"Kinakabahan talaga ako kasi hindi ko alam kung tatanggapin niya ang proposal ko. But praise God she did!" he shared.

After going back to Australia (where his family is now based), Makisig admitted he and Nicole are excited to plan the many important details of their big day.

"Now I’m looking forward to planning kung kailan ang date ng wedding namin. Parehas po kami blessed to have each other and masaya po ako. Baka sa Australia ang wedding," he said.
