Gretchen Ho is adding another feather to her cap after being selected by the US embassy in the Philippines to represent the country in this year's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the premier professional exchange program of the US State Dept.

"I was nominated by the US Embassy Manila and selected by the US State Department. Iβm here as the rep of the PH together with 49 other countries," she said in an interview with PUSH.

During the 3-week program, Gretchen will be going to four different cities as part of the program which include Washington DC, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Tampa, Florida.

According to the US Embassy in the Philippines, Gretchen and the other participants "will assess the impact of social media, citizen journalism, and alternative forms of reporting, and examine strategies that support responsible and ethical reporting in an increasingly complex information environment."
