As avid MarNigo fans know all too well, the chemistry between Inigo Pascual and Maris Racal has gotten even stronger with each project they share. Although the two admitted there was some initial awkwardness, things have definitely settled into a tight bond. During the ABS-CBN Ball, Inigo escorted Maris down the red carpet for the second time around and was happy with what he saw. “She always looks beautiful naman every year. This one is more mature. Siguro mas maganda rin kasi nakakalapit ako sa kanya. Last year hindi ako makalapit kasi medyo paganun yung gown niya dati. At least now nakadikit na ako (laughs),” he explained.

Maris said their fans will be happy to know that they can expect more MarNigo events happening in the near future. She said Inigo is one of the people closest to her at the moment. “Alam na niya lahat (laughs). Oo mabilis ako mapikon. Siya palaging late. Si Inigo, yung na-surprise ako sa kanya, sobrang bait niya na tao. Akala mo parang bad niya pero sobrang bait niya. Sa fans madami things to look forward to soon. Madami kaming tour na gagawin. Out of the country shows and movie,” she said.

When asked if they could reveal what they recently discovered about each other, Inigo immediately said, “Mas kumportable na kami to the point na nag-aaway kami (laughs). Napipikon siya sa akin. Mabilis pala siya mapikon.” Maris added her own observation about her partner’s tardiness but Inigo defended himself. “Hindi naman ako late, mga 25 minutes lang (laughs),” he said.
