Launched as part of Cornerstone Music's new breed of artists, K Brosas' daughter Crystal couldn't be any happier that she finally gets the chance to do what she loves best - write and record songs of her own.

Set to release a digital single soon, Crystal Brosas shared what advice she got from her mom before she gave her a career in the entertainment industry a go.

"Well, alam naman naten 'yung mommy ko is 'yun nga 18 years na siya sa showbiz so kung sino man ang mag-aaadvice sakin sa industry syempre 'yung mom ko 'yun 'di ba? 'Yung mga advice niya lang sakin syempre keep your feet on the ground. 'Yun naman talaga ang key dito sa showbiz eh. Minsan kahit super talented mo eh kung hindi naman ano 'yung ugali mo, 'di ba you wouldn't take long here sa industry. So 'yun talaga sinasabi niya. Keep your feet on the ground, 'wag ka magpasilaw kung kani-kanino. Ang gawin mo lang is i-promote 'yung talent mo. And I'm really thankful na sobrang supportive sakin ni mommy. Sabi naman niya sakin kahit anong career naman 'yan, basta kung dun ako masaya, she will support me," she stated.

Being the daughter of a celebrity, Crystal shared how she plans to step out of the shadow of her mom and make a name for herself in the industry.

"Actually, it's really hard kasi kumbaga my mom kasi is parang karamihan kilala na siya dahil sa Showtime. Kumabaga naging exposed na siya. It's really hard pero in a way thankful din ako kasi humihawalay ako sa kanya. When it comes kasi sa singing namin, magkaiba kami. Si mommy kasi alam natin medyo pang-masa, rakista, biritera. Eh ako, kabaliktaran ako nun eh. Acoustic, smooth lang medyo RnB and soul. Siguro 'pag mag step out ako dun ipapakita ko rin na I'm more than an anak ng artista. I'm Crystal Brosas. I can make my own name," she said.

Now on her fourth year in college, Crystal said she would try her best to balance her time between school and her newfound career.

"Ngayon naman talaga kailangan time management lang. Katulad kanina, meron akong class ng 1 to 4. Ang ginawa ko talagang nakamakeup na ako sa school, nakaayos na ako. So kumbaga maghahanap ka talaga ng line between dun eh. So talagang time management lang. And 'pag magagawan naman ng paraan, you can find ways naman," she said.

In an exclusive interview with K Brosas last April, she revealed the reason why she allowed her daughter to enter showbiz.

“Well, 20 years old na siya. Ang sabi ko lang tapusin niya muna ang school - college muna. Kaya nga okay lang ‘yung digital album kasi uso ‘yun ‘di ba, digital album. At least wala pa masyadong promo, wala pa masyadong TV appearances. At saka okay naman siya sa school,” she said.
