Even with her thriving career, Kathryn Bernardo still prioritizes her education. The actress relayed that she is still pursuing her college education while juggling work in showbiz.”Ayun lately pumunta ako sa ano sa Fort Santiago. Field trip ko ‘yun at kailangan kong gumawa ng essay about it. Kino-continue ko siya. Mahirap talaga pero nandiyan ‘yung mama ko, siya talaga ‘yung nagpu-push sa akin and ‘yung Enderun (school) super supportive naman nila and it’s a team work between me and Enderun para matapos ‘yung school pero mahirap siya, struggle talaga.”

Kathryn is also now an author and said that it has always been her dream to become one. Her book, Everyday Kath, is already available in bookstores. When asked if she is thinking about publishing a second book after her first one, she replied, “Hindi ko pa alam. Actually iyon ang naging challenge sa book na ito, ‘yung content kasi hindi lang ‘yung fashion and beauty, gusto din namin na may matutunan sila so mahirap gawin ‘yung content kasi di mo alam kung ano ‘yung common problem ng lahat so kung may next matagal na trabaho ‘yun kasi siyempre hindi rin siya mabilisan. Parang may study din para ma-include nila sa book.”

With all the success that she has been achieving, Kathryn attributed it all to the guidance of her parents and how they raised her. “Kung ano ako ngayon because of my parents din eh. Mas naging mature ako because of their guidance and I am really thankful na nasasabi ko na kailangan ko sila. Di naman porket 20 alam ko na lahat. Andiyan pa rin sila, kino-consult ko sila sa mga bagay-bagay.”

With her busy schedule, Kathryn rarely has free time but when she does, she makes sure to spend it with her loved ones. “Usually nagspe-spend ako ng time mostly with my family and friends now kasi pag nagstart ‘yung movie (her upcoming movie with Daniel Padilla) medyo mawawala ako ng matagal so sinusulit ko with them.”

What are her plans for the summer? “May mga trabaho na eh pero ‘yung parang naging break ko ‘yung birthday, ‘yung Holy Week so okay na ako don so maybe pagkatapos na lang ulit ng movie kung saan ulit ‘yung mga plans.”
