Maris Racal admitted that she felt pressured when she got her first acting gig in the primetime soap Hawak Kamay immediately after her stint in the Big Brother house. “Actually sobra po akong nagulat kasi kakalabas ko lang ng bahay tapos sinabak agad ako sa set kasi nong nagulat ako bigla kong minamadali lahat, ‘yung script, pag-sink in ng character ko, so sobrang na-pressure pero tinry ko ‘yung best ko talaga para hindi ako mag mukhang ewan sa screen,” she stated.

She said that she feels happy and thankful to be given the opportunity to star in a teleserye alongside actor Piolo Pascual. “At first po nalaman kong may Hawak Kamay si Piolo nong nasa PBB house pa lang kami so parang hindi ko in-expect na makakasama pala ako don, ako pala si Wendy, so parang nakakatuwa po siya tsaka masaya po ako kasi po may project po agad.”

When asked if she had to choose between singing and acting, Maris said that she would still pick singing. “Kung sa dalawa pipiliin ko pa rin ‘yung singing kasi ‘yun na talaga ako na sigurado akong magaling ako.”

Maris said that she is open to work with anyone in the industry in her next projects. “Open ako sa lahat kung may project, kung okay siya makatrabaho open ako, kahit sino okay naman.”

Maris shared that all of the housemates are still in constant communicaton. “’Yung hang out ‘yung boys talaga pero kapag girls active naman kami sa social media, kami nila Loisa we text, hang out kapag may guesting lahat, pero busy na din, pero sa text talaga,” she said.
