It’s a sad day for KathNiel fans as Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla announced their breakup following weeks of speculations about the status of their relationship.

Both Kathryn and Daniel’s posts confirming their split were filled with comments about how they felt following the breakup of the couple — celebrities included.

Kathryn said she is aware of the rumors and speculations making rounds online Kathryn said she decided to speak up about their breakup because she doesn't want to lose herself in the process of concealing the truth.

"I promised to never lose myself in this industry, so I've always been as authentic to you as I can be. I know what many of you are thinking right now. I'm well aware of the rumors and speculations going around, and as hard as it is to put everything into words, I want you to hear it straight from me: It's true that Deej and I have decided to part ways," she said.

Then again, the 27-year-old actress reiterated that what she and Daniel had was real and said that they genuinely loved each other.

"What Deej and I had was real. It was never for show. We were together not because of the cameras, not because of the fans, not because of the money that comes with a successful love team. We were genuinely in love. We grew up together, dreamed together, and saw many of those dreams become a reality—still together," Kathryn said.

Towards the end of her letter to her fans, she gave a message to her fans and asked them to avoid taking sides.

“Kathniels, we know you are hurting, and trust me, this also hurts us both more than you can imagine. The last thing we want is for this family to break apart with everyone taking sides-please don't. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla took to social media to confirm their breakup following weeks of speculations from fans online.

On Thursday, November 30, Kathryn shared on Instagram a photo of her with Daniel, her reel-to-real-life partner for more than a decade.

"I've been in showbiz for almost 21 years now, 12 years as the one-half of Kathniel, and 11 years as someone who loved Deej even behind the camera," Kathryn began.

"I didn't grow up in this industry constantly being controlled and dictated on. I was lucky to have had the best guidance and support system when I started my career and I've continuously worked hard to earn people's trust.

But since I became an adult, I took it upon myself to take charge of my own life—the projects I work on, the way I dress, the people I surround myself with. I've always tried to be my own person. I was encouraged to think for myself and decide for myself. Even when it comes to love. Especially when it comes to love.

Admitting that she's aware of the rumors and speculations making rounds online Kathryn said she decided to speak up about their breakup because she doesn't want to lose herself in the process of concealing the truth.

Then again, the 27-year-old actress reiterated that what she and Daniel had was real and said that they genuinely loved each other.

The Kapamilya superstar also reassured that she will always treasure what she and Daniel had together.

"That's almost half of my life that I would never regret and would never trade for anything in the world. These are 11 years that brought me joy, adventure, and the feeling of being home. Years that taught me the real meaning of unconditional love and friendship. He knew me more than anyone else. He was my first boyfriend. He was my comfort zone. He was my person. I will always have love for him.

Kathryn also reassured fans that they did everything to make it work, but things simply didn't end the way they wanted them -- saying a lot has changed.

"Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work. We've been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can't go back to where we used to be. It just won't be fair to pretend that everything is still the same.

She went on to thank the people around them for the chance to heal.

"These past few months have been tough, but thank you for giving us the time we need to process the pain and finally face the elephant in the room," she remarked.

Addressing speculations about how their relationship ended, she said: "Our love story began with respect and ended with respect."

Joross and Katz tied the knot in November 2014 in Alabang after five years as a couple.

The pair has two sons — Jace Kyler, 7, and John Kody, 6.

The Kapamilya actor added that he will continue to cherish all the memories they’ve had together over the course of their relationship.

Daniel Padilla pens a meaningful message for Kathryn Bernardo.

Former beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo couldn’t believe that she just celebrated her birthday at the official residence and principal workplace of the president of the Philippines––the Malacañang Palace.

On her Instagram account, she showed a glimpse of her little celebration alongside notable guests from the Senate up to the First Lady and the President himself.

Bianca turned 37 years old last November 28. The celebration in Malacañang was hosted by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos according to the beauty queen’s post.

“Never in my wildest dreams have I ever thought of celebrating my birthday in Malacañang, to be hosted by our very own President Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos,” she wrote.

Spouses of some of the Philippine Senators were spotted in the photos that she shared. Bianca also showed a video of the First Lady giving her an autograph of their photo which was seemingly taken at the Palace as well.

“I am beyond grateful! 😃🇵🇭 I am 37 but still feels 27,” she added.

Meanwhile, netizens had mixed reactions about the birthday celebration of Bianca in Malacañang. Some of them found it weird that she was celebrating her birthday in a government-owned building.

“Pwede pala magcelebrate ng birthday sa Malacañang ang hindi naman taga Malacañang, na jowa ng Senador,” a netizen commented.

“Ginawang birthday place ang Malacañang😂 NAOL,” another netizen added.

South Korean idol Nam Woo-hyun recently revealed that he underwent surgery after being diagnosed with cancer. The INFINITE member immediately went through a procedure last April after finding out about his gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)––a type of cancer in the digestive system.

According to Mayo Clinic, GIST can happen in people at any age, but they are most common in adults and very rare in children. Meanwhile, the cause of most GISTs isn’t known and only a small number are caused by genes passed from parents to children.

The 32-year-old South Korean singer shared in an interview with Korea Times that he needed to do the surgery as it was a “non-negotiable” for him.

“In my case, the urgency of surgery was non-negotiable, so I quickly held my fan events and performances in January and February before undergoing surgery,” he shared.

Nam Woo-hyun recalled how it was like for him post-operation––which left him with a 20-centimeter scar on his stomach.

“After the surgery, I had to refrain from drinking water for almost three weeks and got a 20-centimeter scar on my stomach. I even had to attach a blood bag,” he recalled.

The INFINITE member, who just released his album Whitree earlier this week, bared that the new album “encapsulates” his journey against the disease. Though many may wonder why he began working despite just being operated on months ago, Woo-hyun revealed that he is doing this for his loyal fans who have showed their support.

“For those who are facing hardships in their lives, I hope my music can serve as a source of courage, inspiring them to overcome challenges like I did,” he said.

“My musical journey has become four to five times more challenging as I currently suffer from breathing problems when I perform. While it may seem premature to resume my musical activities, I still made a swift comeback because I couldn’t delay it any longer. I wanted to show my fans my improved state,” he added.

Nam Woo-hyun visited the country earlier this year as he was a special performer for the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines last April. He then made a quick return to the country to perform at the Be You 3 concert alongside other K-Pop acts.
