Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica are married!

The couple — who have been together since 2013 and share a daughter — announced that they have tied the knot on Instagram on Wednesday, January 25. Sophie shared photos taken by Nice Print Photography from their intimate church wedding, captioned with a short verse from the Bible.

“I have found the one whom my soul loves,” she wrote, quoting a line from the song of Solomon. She then added their wedding hashtag, #SoVinloveForever.

“Finally a Mrs,” also wrote the actress as she shared highlights of their wedding on her Instagram Stories. Based on her post, the ceremony was attended only by a dozen people whom the couple considered their “closest loved ones.”

Following their announcement, friends and fans of the two congratulated them on the milestone, including Bela Padilla, Iya Villania, Ritz Azul, and Max Collins.

The couple announced their engagement in February 2021 after nearly a decade together. The proposal happened when they shot Sophie's maternity shoot in Batangas in December 2020.

"You'll never know when you are truly ready until you realize who you're living and breathing for. It's you @itssophiealbert. We've grown up together and I look forward to growing old together. Good luck, you are stuck with me for life," wrote Vin in his post announcing their engagement.

For her part, Sophie said, "We've been savoring our precious moments and we are ready to share our joy and excitement! WE ARE ENGAGED! Thank you @vinabrenica for everything. Thank you for being you and for making everything special. I am blessed to have you as my best friend for life."

Vin, 31, and Sophie, 32, first met in 2012 on the TV5 talent search Artista Academy.

In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child together, Avianna Celeste.

Sheryn Regis has released the official music video for her new single, \"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.\"

The music video, which premiered on the official YouTube page of Star Music, is directed by Niq Ablao. It featured a cameo by actor Vin Abrenica.

Since it was uploaded, the more than five-minute video has garnered over 11,500 views.

It was just on Friday, September 24, when \"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw\" became available for streaming on various digital music platforms.

The heavy ballad, which Sheryn herself wrote, is about one’s struggle to leave an abusive relationship.

“The song gives hope and courage to everyone who's been struggling and trying to escape an abusive relationship,\" said Sheryn. \"There is still a chance to move away, to choose yourself, and to begin again.\"

According to the singer, \"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw\" was originally written in English. It was reworked with Tagalog lyrics with the help of her manager Michiko Unso, and multi-awarded songwriter-producer Jonathan Manalo, who also produced the song.

\"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw\" follows the release of “Tulad ng Dati,” which served as Sheryn's homecoming single after more than 10 years of being away from the Philippines.

Previously, Sheryn said it was her passion for singing, plus her love for the country, that pushed her to come home.

“Kaya nagustuhan ko ulit bumalik kasi ito 'yung nalalaman ko, ito lang talaga ang nasa puso kong hugot-hugot. Nasa puso ko talaga ang pagkanta at hindi ko siya maiwan-iwan,” she said.

Sheryn, who has a child named Sweetie, said that despite her simple and quiet life in the United States, she later realized that making music and performing for her fellow Filipinos is really what she wants to do in life.

“Nakakapagod pala kapag hindi ako nakakakanta dito sa Pilipinas. Akala ko okay do'n, nagko-concert ako dun. I teach. Pero iba pa rin 'yung magperform ka sa ating mga kababayan dito sa Pilipinas at mag-record ng mga singles ko,” she said.

“Ito talaga ang bumubuhay sa 'kin—ang pagkanta. Hindi lang financially, kung 'di spiritually, physically, lahat e. Ito 'yung buhay sa 'kin. Ito 'yung tubig sa buhay ko, ang pagkanta,\" she added.

This coming October, Sheryn will hold an online concert titled Love United. It will stream worldwide via KTX.ph.

It was just on Friday, September 24, when \"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw\" became available for streaming on various digital music platforms.

The heavy ballad, which Sheryn herself wrote, is about one’s struggle to leave an abusive relationship.

\"Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw\" follows the release of “Tulad ng Dati,” which served as Sheryn's homecoming single after more than 10 years of being away from the Philippines.

Previously, Sheryn said it was her passion for singing, plus her love for the country, that pushed her to come home.

“Kaya nagustuhan ko ulit bumalik kasi ito 'yung nalalaman ko, ito lang talaga ang nasa puso kong hugot-hugot. Nasa puso ko talaga ang pagkanta at hindi ko siya maiwan-iwan,” she said.

“Ito talaga ang bumubuhay sa 'kin—ang pagkanta. Hindi lang financially, kung 'di spiritually, physically, lahat e. Ito 'yung buhay sa 'kin. Ito 'yung tubig sa buhay ko, ang pagkanta,\" she added.

This coming October, Sheryn will hold an online concert titled Love United. It will stream worldwide via KTX.ph.

The singer is scheduled to appear on The Music Room this coming October 26, which can be seen exclusively on One Music PH and Star Music’s YouTube channels.

Vice Ganda revealed that he is planning to have a baby soon through surrogacy.

In an interview with Isko Moreno on his YouTube channel, Vice shared that he actually inquired about the process for surrogacy already in the US.

"I was planning to do it. Nagpunta akong Amerika tapos alam ko na kung saang pupuntang doctor, pero I didn’t have the luxury of time to pursue kasi ang dami kong ginagawa," he said.

The comedian said that in order to pursue it, he needs to take a break from showbiz in the future.

"Kailangan kong mag-allot ng oras at magdevote ng oras, at tanggapin na kailangan ko munang i-set aside 'yung showbiz kahit ilang buwan para matutukan ko ‘yun," he stated.

Vice admitted that he initially did not plan to have a child.

He explained, "Kahit anong gawin natin, iba 'yung tingin ng mga tao ‘pag 'yung tatay niya bakla, naaawa ako dun sa bata. ‘Bakit ganun 'yung tatay mo?’ Ayoko siyang ilagay sa sitwasyon na kailangan niyang magpaliwanag kung bakit ganun 'yung tatay niya, hindi katulad ng mga pangkaraniwang tatay ng mga classmates niya.

"Masasaktan siya eh at mararamdaman niyang baka may mali sa amin kaya ayoko."

Vice relayed that his plans and perspective changed after meeting his partner Ion Perez.

"I found it really so beautiful na sabi ko, kayang-kaya namin magkababy. Sabi ko, ‘Gusto ko na siyang buuin talaga’ tapos bigla nalang, instantly, gusto ko na rin magka-baby," he relayed.

The It's Showtime host pointed out that he will rather focus on building the personality of his future child than listen to other people's opinion.

"Wala akong pakialam kung anong sasabihin nila—ang mahalaga nalang ay ibe-build ko 'yung personality ng magiging anak ko, 'yung character niya," he said.

"Ganun naman nangyayari sa atin, 'di ba? Hindi naman maganda 'yung nakapaligid sa atin eh, pero dahil ang ganda nung nabuo sa atin, kinaya natin lahat ng mga nakakaharap natin, kayang-kaya natin."

Vice hopes to have a baby girl in the future.

"Gusto ko 'yung naka-gown siya, naka-ballet shoes siya, naka-high socks siya," he said.

The comedian said that he is also open to having twins.

“Pwede rin babae’t lalaki. Kasi 'di ba, ganun tayo, kung anong nadeprive sa atin nung bata, gusto nating ibawi? Gusto kong gawin sa kanila 'yung hindi ko na-experience, papa-experience ko sa kanila, we will experience that together," he stated.

Vice and Ion got engaged in February 2020.

They got married in a ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada in late 2021.

“Nag-concert ako sa America tapos nagkataon na anniversary din namin. Tapos nagpunta kami ng Vegas.… Sobrang spontaneous noon. Buti nga meron pang slot doon sa pinuntahan naming chapel," Vice said about their wedding ceremony in the US in an episode of It's Showtime in February 2022.

With the ongoing pandemic that time, Vice shared that he opted to have a small ceremony than a big wedding.

“Parang dinedma ko na ‘yung pangarap ko na bongga ‘yung singsing, ‘yung damit. Parang wala na akong pakialam. At this point, kahit walang tao, wala na ‘yung mga kaibigan ko, ang mahalaga na lang kami. Nandoon siya at nandoon ako. Tapos sabihin na natin ‘yung gusto nating sabihin.… Ang saya-saya namin kasi ang ganda-ganda ng pinagdaanan namin,” he stated.

Vice remarked that he appreciated the support that they received from their loved ones for their union.

"Sobrang bongga lang na parang it was celebrated by everybody.… I was just so happy na ang daming nagmamahal sa aming dalawa and ang dami palang happy para sa amin," he said.

Vice Ganda celebrated New Year's Day with his family in Taiwan.

The It's Showtime host documented their Taiwan adventure in his latest YouTube vlog.

"Pupunta na po kami sa baba kasi mag-New Year dinner na po kami. Kasama ko 'yung mga magulang ko. We are going to have our New Year dinner at Bel Air Bar-Grill with the entire fam and of course my angel Ate Jacque," Vice Ganda said in his vlog.

After the family dinner, Vice and his family witnessed the fireworks display.

"We are going to go out to witness the fireworks. It's 15 minutes before we say goodbye to 2022. You've been so beautiful but we are hoping for a more beautiful 2023," he said.

As they welcomed the New Year and watched the fireworks display, Vice exclaimed, "Welcome 2023. Be nicer. Be kinder. Be more beautiful 2023. More winning moments in 2023."

After watching the fireworks display, Vice went out to try some Taiwanese street food.

To conclude his vlog, the comedian extended his gratitude to his fans for their constant support.

"Thank you very much Taiwan, we had a great New Year [celebration]. Madlang pipol, Little Ponies (his fan club), thank you very much. 2023 I am so looking forward to the beauty and to the winning moments," he stated.

Vice Ganda wrapped up his 2022 recently by joining the Metro Manila Film Festival with his movie Partners in Crime.

It marked the return of the comedian to the festival after two years.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News in December, Vice remarked that joining MMFF felt new to him all over again.

These were the words of Kapamilya star Vice Ganda as he described how he felt upon the opening of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, especially with moviegoers flocking to the cinemas to watch his movie.

The comedian is headlining the comedy film Partners in Crime in this year's film fest.

While the film festival returned to theaters last year, the turnout was low due to the rise of the COVID cases brought by the omicron variant. This year, more moviegoers flocked to cinemas as restrictions have finally been eased.

Both are also part of his Metro Manila Film Festival entry.

The comedian-actor said that he feels grateful for the support the two have given him throughout his career.

Vice shared how shy he gets when people think that he’s helping the two find their way into the showbiz spotlight.

“Actually, nahihiya ako pag sinasabi yun, na lagi ko silang tinutulungan. Hindi niyo alam na ang laki ng itinutulong nila sa akin. Kumbaga, nagbabalikan lang kami ng pagmamahal, kaming magkakaibigan,” he shared.

Aside from Partners in Crime, MC and Lassy have joined the Unkabogable Star in various hit movies of his in the past. They also recently became part of the noontime variety show It’s Showtime.

Vice revealed that they have a give-and-take kind of friendship. He said each one of them knows when to step up and support one another.

The 46-year-old celebrity shared how thankful he is when MC and Lassy would make him shine more than them for him to achieve success.

“Hinahayaan nila ako na mag-shine. Hinahayaan nila ako. Ang laki ng binibigay nila para mag-shine ako. For the longest time, ginagawa nila 'yun para umangat ako. Tinutulungan nila ako. Pero mas nakikita yung tinutulungan ko sila, kaysa tinutulungan nila ako," he said.

“Ang laki ko na ngayon, eh, diba? Kaya parang mas nakikita natin 'yung effort na ginagawa ng malaki, when in fact, ang daming effort na ginagawa ng hindi mo kasing laki,” Vice added.

Vice noted how the two comedians played a big role in his latest movie. MC and Lassy are known to share the same type of comedy as Vice, revealing it was one of the reasons why he needed them to be part of it.

“Hindi naman to mabubuo kung kaming dalawa lang ni Ivana. Ang bagot nito kung kaming dalawa lang. We can only do so much. Ang laki ng iginaganda ng pelikula dahil sa marami naming mga kasama, lalong lalo na sina MC at si Lassy at si Tetay,” he said.

Vice strongly added that their friendship goes beyond popularity. “Ginagawa namin 'yun, kasi mahal namin ang isa’t isa. We are more than just co-workers, we are more than just friends; we are really family,” he said.

Unkabogable star Vice Ganda admitted that there is some pressure for his latest movie, Partners in Crime, to beat his other top-grossing films such as The Super Parental Guardians, Fantastica, and Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad to name a few. The comedian-actor shared that he found it more stressful making a movie in the middle of a pandemic.

Most of the films Vice has starred in have grossed over 500 million pesos.

“Yung pressure talaga is paano namin matatapos yung pelikula. Siyempre, may pressure kung paano tatanggapin ng crowd [and] audience. Mahirap gumawa ng pelikula ngayon dahil nasa pandemya pa rin tayo, andaming pamantayan. Kung dati mahirap na, mas mahirap ngayon,” he shared.

The 46-year-old celebrity is positive that families can relate to the story of their latest film. Vice added that each moviegoer will see themselves in the characters he and co-star Ivana Alawi play.

“It’s very easy to relate and identify with our characters and with the story itself kasi pag napanood niyo na, this is everyone’s story. This is your story, pamilya ito ng napakaraming Pilipino na nag kukumahog, nagpapakamatay, nagsasakripisyo sa pagtatrabaho para sa tao na mahal na mahal niya,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ivana revealed that she didn’t pressure herself at all during the filming process. The actress-influencer added that she made sure to keep calm all throughout as the pressure wouldn’t do any good on her at all.

“Ineenjoy ko lang actually, I know the movie is super nice, hindi ako nagaalala sa movie. Ineenjoy ko yung process, lahat. Hindi ko masyado prinirpressure sarili ko kasi kapag pripressure mo sarili mo doon na magkakayari,” she said.

Partners in Crime is the official entry of Star Cinema to the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival. Aside from Vice and Ivana, the movie also includes Candy Pangilinan, Enchong Dee, Cai Cortez, and Rez Cortez to name a few.

Vice Ganda could not help but feel incredibly proud as his partner Ion Perez finished his first-ever duathlon race.

Despite his busy work schedule, the It’s Showtime host and star of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Partners In Crime came out to support Ion as he joined the 2022 National Duathlon Championships at New Clark City on December 4.

Sharing his sweet message for Ion on Instagram, Vice wrote, “I am very very proud of you! Your passion and discipline is very inspiring. I will always be here to support you all the way! I love you, Noi!”

In the comments section, Ion credited the comedy star for being his inspiration.

Vice and Ion recently celebrated their fourth anniversary as a couple.

It was in 2019 when the two confirmed their relationship after a Magpasikat performance on It's Showtime.

Last February, the couple made headlines after they exchanged vows in a wedding commitment ceremony during their trip to Las Vegas, United States. In an episode of It’s Showtime, Vice revealed that he and Ion had been engaged since February 2020.

Just recently, Vice addressed a circulating rumor that he and Ion have broken up.

“Masaya kami! Huwag kayo gumagawa… Mga chismosa kayo! Hiwalay na raw kami ni Ion? Itong mga demonyong ‘to!” he said in a Showtime episode.

“Pero masaya kami rito, masaya kaming pamilya, masaya kaming mag-jojowa, kaya huwag kayong [gumagawa ng tsimis].”
