Kapamilya noontime variety show It’s Showtime released an official statement about the recent mix-up that happened during the MeChoose-MeChoose segment of the program. The supposed winner of the segment––who later on won ₱80,000––didn’t actually qualify for the jackpot round as she said an entirely different thing during the elimination round.

“A player named Marifi from Lipa, Batangas partnered with Ryan Bang to play in the elimination round. They were asked to answer ‘pagkaing may "pie" sa pangalan’. It would seem that they both answered ‘tinapay’ in unison, therefore giving her a chance to play in the jackpot round where she eventually won ₱80,000,” the statement read.

The producers of the variety program added that it was because of the audience watching on their televisions at home that they were able to find out something went wrong with the segment.

Netizens were quick to post on social media about the mix-up that happened which was immediately brought to the producers' attention.

“Audience members watching on TV were quick to point out that there was a lapse in declaring Marifi a winner in the first round. Upon review, it became clear that she actually said ‘pizza pie’ rather than ‘tinapay,'" the statement added.

The production heads of It’s Showtime then revealed that they found a way to solve the issue that will be beneficial for all of the participants––which included Marifi.

“To rectify this, the production heads met with all the players who played in the first round. It was agreed upon by all parties that the ₱80,000 won by Marifi will be divided equally among them,” the statement revealed.

“It is our resolve to give our Madlang People fun and entertaining segments where they will be given a chance to enjoy and win while observing honesty and integrity,” the statement ended.

MeChoose-MeChoose is one of the new segments of the noontime program after they made their return to television following a 12-day suspension last October.

Actress and online personality Issa Pressman talked about how her father’s death inspired her to work harder.

At 26 years old, Issa has ventured into different businesses, which include a salon, scarf line, pet grooming service, pet park, and pet products.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH during the opening of her KOOP Studio in Ortigas, Issa recalled the time she started to become entrepreneurial. “I think the better way of putting it is when did I become like a workaholic. Actually, that was when my dad passed,” she began.

“When my dad passed, it was like some energy came into me na parang like, ‘I’m going to live the life that I want to be.’ Therefore, working harder; using my skills to share for others.”

Issa’s father Ronnie Pressman passed away in February of 2020. He was 90 years old.

The younger sister of actress Yassi Pressman, Issa shared her decision to stop going to college to help their family. “’Cause before, like chill pa lang ako. I was like a college kid. I stopped college when I wanted to help my sister out when my dad was getting sick. But during [that time], it was like my dad passed and then the pandemic pa, things were slowing down. I was like, you know what? Let’s go. Time to move. Time to grow,” she narrated. She also shared her plans to take online courses soon.

Meanwhile, when asked why she chose to venture into the salon business, Issa, who’s been interested in styling her hair since her younger days, shared, “I started going to salons and I felt like it was, not like a chore, pero it wasn’t as pleasant as I wanted it to be.

“I wanted to have an experience like a makeover, and of course, in the process of doing a makeover, you kind of want that experience to be nice, di ba? Kasi sometimes, people are going through something that’s why they want to cut their hair… Sometimes, people want to change their lives so they want to color their hair,” she said.

When asked how boyfriend James Reid supports her, Issa said, “Actually, he’s very knowledgeable about a lot of stuff. Like something that I think not much people know about him is in the music side, the business side, he’s very knowledgeable. He reads a lot. He watches a lot of things. Definitely, a lot of advice on that side but definitely, personally also. ‘Cause sometimes, you know, when you get so stressed, you’re just like ‘Oh I don’t know what to do anymore.’ He’ll really give you the proper pep talk to keep you going.”

Amid reports that Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati have called it quits, the former's mother, talent manager Annabelle Rama, revealed that the actor has been staying with her for a month already.

“Hindi pa ‘ko puwede magsalita,” Annabelle told ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, when asked about the breakup rumors. “Pero sasabihin ko sa ‘yo si Richard nasa akin ngayon.”

On whether there is truth to rumors that she and Sarah are not on good terms, Annabelle said, "Hindi ko siya nakakausap. Wala akong time makipag-usap sa kanila.”

The talent manager also shared how her son has been handling the situation.
"Nakikita mo naman 'di ba? Nakikita mo naman, hindi mo na kailangang magsalita pa. Nakikita mo na ‘yan. Si Richard trabaho nang trabaho, 'yung isa nagwawaldas ng pera. 'Yun lang ang masasabi ko diyan,” she said.

"Mahirap para sa kaniya, kasi una trabaho siya nang trabaho. Wala siyang ibang ginawa kundi magtrabaho. Pagdating niya sa Manila, hindi niya alam kung bakit nagkaroon ng gulo.”

"Maghintay na lang kayo kasi malalaman niyo rin. Not now," she added.

Rumors of a possible breakup began after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Sarah, 30, and Richard, 39, had not shared photos of each other for months. Sarah also changed her Instagram name from "Sarah Lahbati Gutierrez" to simply "SLG."

What's more, the actress has also been missing from recent family gatherings including Annabelle’s 71st birthday celebration last October. The couple were last seen together publicly during the launch of Sarah’s collection with local furniture brand Casa Selma at a fair that same month.

Sarah and Richard have been married since 2020. They tied the knot in a civil ceremony in March 2020, at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.

A 62-year-old mother was one of the people who passed the recent bar exam.

Rosula Calacala, who is a first-time board exam taker, is now among the 3,812 new lawyers of the country. She is a student from North Eastern College in Isabela.

"Anak ko, attorney na ko! Oh my god. Hindi ko inaasahan kasi matanda na ko, Lord," she exclaimed upon seeing her name on the list of new lawyers at the courtyard of the Supreme Court as reported by GMA News.

On what inspired her to take up law, Rosula relayed: "I have already finished my— my children have already finished and so I don’t have nothing— I don’t have anything to do. So eto, nag-aral ako para to spare my time."

Rosula shared that she was working while she was in law school.

"First time and I took the Bar, the law school for only four years. Wala akong failing grade. I’m a working student," she said.

On her advice for those who will be taking the bar exam in the future, she said: "'Wag sila mag cell phone ng mag cell phone kasi istorbo lang ‘yung cellphone. Honestly. I did not waste my time. Lahat ng oras na spare, lahat ng oras na nakabuka ang aking mata nagbabasa ako."

Rosula offered her new achievement to the Lord.

"Kasi okay na ang mga anak ko, okay na ang mga anak ko kaya sa Panginoon ko na ia-alay ang lahat," she remarked.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Rappler, Rosula shared that it was her relative who introduced to her the idea of going to law school.

"Hindi ko alam na lawyering na kurso 'saka ko lang nalaman ng may pamangkin ako na nag-take ng law. Sabi niya paenrollin mo 'yung mga anak mo tita, sabi niya. Eh ayaw ng mga anak ko. Sabi ko ako na lang," she said.

Rosula's two children, who are Certified Public Accountants, were the ones who have been providing financial support to her during her law school journey.

"Sila ang nag-finance sa akin. Magastos ang law school. Nung nag-review ako they gave me talaga—ang laki ng binigay. Kain pala nang kain ang reviewee. Kasi 'pag hindi ka kumain aantukin ka talaga," she said.

Now that she's a lawyer, Rosula said she aims to provide legal service for the marginalized.

"I promised to God na 'pag makapasa ako talagang I will serve God, I will really help those who are in need. Marami talagang tao ang nangangailangan doon sa amin."

The House of Representatives has gave recognition to Michelle Dee for her achievements at the recent Miss Universe 2023 pageant with House Resolution 1493.

"During the 2023 Miss Universe Pageant, Miss Dee gave an impressive performance that placed her as one of the Top 10 finalists and earned her several recognitions, including Golden Award for the 'Voice for Change' category; Spirit of Carnival Award; Miss Universe Fan Vote Award; and Best in National Costume," the resolution stated.

The House Resolution commended Michelle for showcasing Filipino culture on the global stage.

"Ms. Dee’s masterful execution of grace and elegance on the prestigious international stage showcased Filipino culture and heritage through her pageant outfits, such as her evening gown, which paid tribute to the country’s living legend and traditional tattoo artist Apo Whang-Od," the resolution said.

The resolution also highlighted the role of Michelle as a Philippine tourism ambassador.

"Miss Dee’s incredible passion and dedication to promote Philippine tourism to the world and bring honor to the country have earned the respect and admiration of the entire Filipino nation and are indeed worthy of emulation," HR 1493 stated.

Michelle competed at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador last November.

The beauty queen is set to have a homecoming parade on December 10 at the SM Mall of Asia complex.

Although they won’t celebrate their first anniversary until early next year, Marco said he is happy with what he has already discovered about his girlfriend.

“Alam mo si Cristine sobrang maalaga. She really cares about me and of course ako rin. We both care about each other and yung pinaka-importante nga, we always put God in the center of our relationship. Of course there will always be bumps along the road, but as long as you are intertwined with God, your relationship will be stronger than ever,” he said.

With his father, former actor Dennis Roldan, celebrating his birthday on December 8, Marco said he is bringing Cristine along with the rest of his family to celebrate with his dad, who is still serving time at the New Bilibid prison in Taguig City. Marco revealed he had already brought her once before to introduce them to each other.

“Actually tomorrow, birthday ng dad ko so we get to visit him tomorrow. Actually nakakatuwa kasi buong family makakapag-visit kami tomorrow. So I think that’s the essence of Christmas and that’s what Chirstmas is all about. Of course kasama si Cristine tomorrow. Actually sobrang okay kami ni Cristine. We understand each other a lot. We ground our relationship through God and yun yung pinaka-importante sa aming dalawa. So everything’s good. Okay naman kasi yung dad ko naman very supportive siya sa akin so tomorrow second time nila magkikita ulit,” he added.

A 62-year-old mother was one of the people who passed the recent bar exam.

Rosula Calacala, who is a first-time board exam taker, is now among the 3,812 new lawyers of the country. She is a student from North Eastern College in Isabela.

Rosula shared that she was working while she was in law school.

"First time and I took the Bar, the law school for only four years. Wala akong failing grade. I’m a working student," she said.

Rosula offered her new achievement to the Lord.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Rappler, Rosula shared that it was her relative who introduced to her the idea of going to law school.

Now that she's a lawyer, Rosula said she aims to provide legal service for the marginalized.

"I promised to God na 'pag makapasa ako talagang I will serve God, I will really help those who are in need. Marami talagang tao ang nangangailangan doon sa amin."

Kadenang Ginto actress Bea Borres broke her silence after recently trending on social media for her comments which seemed to be about the breakup of Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

“I do ask for people to remember not to judge me and my whole being based on that short video,” she continued.

Bea shared in her post that her late father was disrespected during his death anniversary last November 30 wherein various netizens mocked her post. She expressed that she isn’t using it as an excuse but hoped that everyone could become “better people” after this.

The Voice Philippines season 2 contestant Kokoi Baldo, whose real name is Juan Manuel Ubaldo, passed away earlier this morning, December 8, due to a vehicular accident. The accident took place at Circumferential Road in Purok Active, Brgy.

Kokoi was 44 years old.

According to several reports, Kokoi was riding a motorcycle at one in the morning and he tried to overtake a vehicle in front of him. He then lost control of his motorcycle and was unfortunately run over by a 10-wheeler truck carrying sugarcane that caused his death.

The 44-year-old singer’s head was reportedly severed from his body due to the massive impact of the accident.

The truck driver is currently detained in Police Station 3 according to reports.

Meanwhile, the manager and wife of Kokoi posted on his official Facebook account to announce the passing of the singer.

“It is with a heavy heart to inform the public, especially the fans, that Kokoi Baldo has passed away earlier this morning,” his wife Sam wrote.

“We kindly ask for privacy during this hard time in respect to his family and friends. He will be missed, loved and forever in our hearts,” the statement went on.

The manager added that updates and more information about the late singer’s burial plans will be posted as soon as they are available.

In a separate post, his wife asked netizens to take down posts of the accident scene.

“I am humbly asking everyone to take down the posts pertaining to my husband, Kokoi Baldo's accident scene as it is already causing distress to our entire family. If you see any posts of the said accident, please ask the owner of the post to delete,” she wrote.

Kokoi was dubbed as the Bob Marley of the Philippines for his reggae style of singing. He rose to popularity after competing in The Voice Philippines season 2 under Sarah Geronimo's team.

The production heads of It’s Showtime then revealed that they found a way to solve the issue that will be beneficial for all of the participants––which included Marifi.

“It is our resolve to give our Madlang People fun and entertaining segments where they will be given a chance to enjoy and win while observing honesty and integrity,” the statement ended.

MeChoose-MeChoose is one of the new segments of the noontime program after they made their return to television following a 12-day suspension last October.

A 62-year-old mother was one of the people who passed the recent bar exam.

Rosula Calacala, who is a first-time board exam taker, is now among the 3,812 new lawyers of the country. She is a student from North Eastern College in Isabela.

Rosula shared that she was working while she was in law school.

"First time and I took the Bar, the law school for only four years. Wala akong failing grade. I’m a working student," she said.

Rosula offered her new achievement to the Lord.

"Kasi okay na ang mga anak ko, okay na ang mga anak ko kaya sa Panginoon ko na ia-alay ang lahat," she remarked.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Rappler, Rosula shared that it was her relative who introduced to her the idea of going to law school.

Rosula's two children, who are Certified Public Accountants, were the ones who have been providing financial support to her during her law school journey.

Now that she's a lawyer, Rosula said she aims to provide legal service for the marginalized.

"I promised to God na 'pag makapasa ako talagang I will serve God, I will really help those who are in need. Marami talagang tao ang nangangailangan doon sa amin."

The 44-year-old singer’s head was reportedly severed from his body due to the massive impact of the accident.

The truck driver is currently detained in Police Station 3 according to reports.

Meanwhile, the manager and wife of Kokoi posted on his official Facebook account to announce the passing of the singer.

“It is with a heavy heart to inform the public, especially the fans, that Kokoi Baldo has passed away earlier this morning,” his wife Sam wrote.

“We kindly ask for privacy during this hard time in respect to his family and friends. He will be missed, loved and forever in our hearts,” the statement went on.

The manager added that updates and more information about the late singer’s burial plans will be posted as soon as they are available.

In a separate post, his wife asked netizens to take down posts of the accident scene.

Kokoi was dubbed as the Bob Marley of the Philippines for his reggae style of singing. He rose to popularity after competing in The Voice Philippines season 2 under Sarah Geronimo's team.

Meanwhile, the manager and wife of Kokoi posted on his official Facebook account to announce the passing of the singer.

“It is with a heavy heart to inform the public, especially the fans, that Kokoi Baldo has passed away earlier this morning,” his wife Sam wrote.

“We kindly ask for privacy during this hard time in respect to his family and friends. He will be missed, loved and forever in our hearts,” the statement went on.

The manager added that updates and more information about the late singer’s burial plans will be posted as soon as they are available.

In a separate post, his wife asked netizens to take down posts of the accident scene.

Kokoi was dubbed as the Bob Marley of the Philippines for his reggae style of singing. He rose to popularity after competing in The Voice Philippines season 2 under Sarah Geronimo's team.

The producers of the variety program added that it was because of the audience watching on their televisions at home that they were able to find out something went wrong with the segment.

The production heads of It’s Showtime then revealed that they found a way to solve the issue that will be beneficial for all of the participants––which included Marifi.

MeChoose-MeChoose is one of the new segments of the noontime program after they made their return to television following a 12-day suspension last October.

Amid reports that Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati have called it quits, the former's mother, talent manager Annabelle Rama, revealed that the actor has been staying with her for a month already.

“Hindi pa ‘ko puwede magsalita,” Annabelle told ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, when asked about the breakup rumors. “Pero sasabihin ko sa ‘yo si Richard nasa akin ngayon.”

The House of Representatives has gave recognition to Michelle Dee for her achievements at the recent Miss Universe 2023 pageant with House Resolution 1493.

The House Resolution commended Michelle for showcasing Filipino culture on the global stage.

After going public with their relationship earlier this year on social media, actor Marco Gumabao said his relationship with girlfriend Cristine Reyes turned out to be the best surprise of his life.
