ABS-CBN released its official statement following the suspension of the noontime variety show It’s Showtime. This comes hours after the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) denied the Motion for Reconsideration filed by GMA Network, Inc. and ABS-CBN Corporation.

The MTRCB decided on a 12-day airing suspension of the noontime variety program.

ABS-CBN shared that they are currently exploring all the possible options to dispute the said decision of the MTRCB. While the decision is not yet final, It’s Showtime will continue to air on various platforms.

“We have received the decision of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board denying our Motion for Reconsideration regarding It’s Showtime and are currently exploring all our remedies and options,” the statement said.

“In the meantime, since the imposed suspension is not yet final and executory, we would like to reassure our audiences that It’s Showtime will continue to be seen on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV. It is also available on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC,” they added.

“We are truly grateful for the unwavering love and support that we have received from our viewers. We remain committed to bringing joy and inspiration to our beloved Madlang People,” the statement concluded.

It was decided earlier today, September 28, by the MTRCB that certain actions made by hosts Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda, and Ion Perez during a segment of the noontime show was done inappropriately in presence of children and allegedly violated Section 3(c) of the Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implement Rules and Regulations.

During the press conference held earlier, MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto said she was inhibited from voting regarding the case. Sotto is the daughter of Tito Sotto who is the host of another noontime show in the same time slot as It’s Showtime.

“First, I truly believe that being my father’s daughter should not be taken against me. Instead, it should even be taken positively that I am someone who grew up in the industry. I am someone who loves the industry and understands the industry. I really believe that we should respect others’ opinions… I am just doing my job humbly and justly,” Sotto said.

Meanwhile, out of the 30 board members, 27 voted to deny the motion of reconsideration as shared by Atty. Paulino Cases––MTRCB Board Member and Chairperson of Hearing and Adjudication Committee.

After being announced as part of the cast of the newest installment of Regal Films Entertainment’s well-loved horror film franchise Shake, Rattle, & Roll Extreme, singer and actress AC Bonifacio shared how it feels to be part of her first big screen project.

“I am so, so excited. First of all, this is my first movie ever and to be part of Shake, Rattle, & Roll, it’s so legendary. I’ve been watching this since I was a baby, literally since I was born in Canada pa po.

“So now that I’m here and I get to tell my family and my friends that I get to be a part of the new generation of Shake, Rattle, & Roll, it’s really an honor and I’m just so, so excited for you guys to see it because it’s super fun. We had such a good time shooting it and I’m sure people will enjoy it also,” she shared during the Shake, Rattle, & Roll Extreme cast reveal event held last September 27 at Valencia Events Place.

Earlier this year, netizens speculated that AC allegedly went through a breakup with P-Pop boy group BGYO member Nate Porcalla after they unfollowed each other on social media and several women spoke up about his questionable behavior during the time that he and AC were supposedly dating. The rumored couple first met and became friends after becoming contestants on ABS-CBN’s reality dance competition show Dance Kids Philippines in 2016.

In her solo interview with PUSH, the Shake, Rattle, & Roll actress finally confirmed that she and Nate were more than just friends.

“It was my first official (relationship). First official so parang a learning lesson talaga. And like everyone said, it’s just experience. I just go through it. I learned from it, and then I go on to the next. Then I live the rest of my life.”

Coming from the same home network, PUSH asked AC if she is still in contact or with the BGYO member.

“No. When there’s work. That’s it,” she admitted.

The 20-year-old Star Magic artist also shared the valuable lessons she learned from the relationship.

“My takeaway, for my next (relationship), definitely to just be more aware and of course love me first, give everything to myself first bago ko ibigay sa ibang tao. That’s really all it is.

“I’ve learned a lot from that relationship and it’s put me in a spot where I really have to be there for myself. I just have to love myself and I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I’ve been doing a lot of solo traveling, a lot of the things for myself. And I’m enjoying it so, so, so, so much.

“Doing things not just just in terms of my personal life but also my career. I’ve been trying to discover and explore and do things on my own also. I’m so young. I’m 20 about to be 21 and I’m taking my relationship, my bad relationship as a life lesson,” she explained to PUSH.

As for her plans for the upcoming ABS-CBN Ball on September 30, AC revealed why she is happy to not bring an escort for the event.

“I love going to the ball solo (laughs). So that’s what we’re going to do. This is my third ball na because of the pandemic, obviously. And then the prom also. But I love doing things just solo. I love being with myself, going on the red carpet, and just showing off me,” she said.

Actress Julia Montes took to social media to express her support for her good friend Kathryn Bernardo, who stars in the dark comedy film A Very Good Girl.

In an Instagram post, Julia praised her Mara Clara co-star for her powerful performance as Philo in her latest movie, which also stars Golden Globe nominee Dolly De Leon.

“Soooo proud of you @bernardokath! You’re a badass in this film! The range of emotions and passion na binigay mo sa movie grabe,” Julia wrote.

“Must watch! #AVeryGoodGirl to the whole team and Ms. Dolly congratulations po,” she added.

Julia was one of the stars who attended the premiere night of A Very Good Girl last Tuesday, September 26. She was joined by Alden Richards, her leading man in the upcoming romance film Five Breakups & A Romance, along with Dimples Romana, Ronaldo Valdez, Joshua Garcia, Miles Ocampo, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and more.

Dimples, who also worked with Julia and Kathryn on the hit series Mara Clara in 2012, also showed her support for the superstar on Instagram.

“A Very Good Girl Premiere Night. ‘There are no good people, only people who want to be better.’ What a feast to the eyes, the heart and the spirit,” Dimples wrote.

Directed by Petersen Vargas, A Very Good Girl follows the story of Philomena Angeles (Kathryn), who seeks to destroy fellow socialite and business tycoon, Mother Molly Suzara (Dolly), and sneaks her way into the latter's glamorous yet shady secret life.

The film is written by Marionne Dominique Mancol, with Carmi Raymundo as the creative manager and Daniel Saniana as the creative supervisor. Joining Kathryn and Dolly in the flick are Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Jake Ejercito, Gillian Vicencio, Kaori Oinuma, and Donna Cariaga.

A Very Good Girl is now showing in theaters nationwide.

Pop-punk band Neck Deep brought their electrifying performances to the Philippine stage at their recent concert in Manila on September 22 at the SM North Edsa Sky Dome.

Among the songs performed by the band were "Sonderland," "Lowlife," "Kali Ma," "Citizens of Earth," "Can't Kick Up the Roots," "What Did You Expect?," "STFU," and "Take Me With You," among others.

For their encore, the band performed "Motion Sickness," "Gold Steps," and "In Bloom."

"We've always felt the love here in the Philippines and tonight is no different. Thank you so so much. In fact the Philippines was our first ever fan greet. So if you've supported Neck Deep throughout the years, we can't thank you enough," lead singer Ben Barlow said during the concert.

The Manila concert of Neck Deep was produced by PULP Live World.

Neck Deep released their first EP in 2012 called Rain in July. In 2013, they dropped another EP titled A History of Bad Decisions.

Their first studio album was Wishful Thinking which they released in January 2014.

In 2023, they released the single "Heartbreak of the Century."

In an interview with Kerrang! in February, the band shared their mindset when it comes to making music at present.

"We’re not really trying to subvert too much, and we’re not experimenting so much anymore. I think we’ve just got a clearer sense of who we are and what we do, and also what our fans expect of us. We’re not necessarily guessing as much, or going, ‘Hey, I wonder what it would sound like if we experimented?!’ We know what works, and we’re happy to play that," Ben said.

The singer added that this time, they produce songs which comes naturally to them.

"I think after the pandemic we had to take a step back. The band had so many highs and lows, and we just really did a lot of self-assessment. And I think the thing was, ‘Let’s not dilute what Neck Deep’s about, and let’s remember what people love about the band and try to bottle that.’ And it’s been surprisingly easy, when you just kind of do the thing that comes naturally to you," he stated.

Neck Deep is composed of Ben Barlow, Matt West, Sam Bowden, and Seb Barlow.

In the show, the actor portrayed Kang Tae-moo, the affluent CEO of a food company. Hyo-seop shared the screen with Kim Se-jeong, who played the character Shin Ha-ri.

This September, Hyo-seop graced the screen again in the Netflix series A Time Called You.

In an interview with Naver, as translated by Soompi, Hyo-seop shared his motivation for taking on the project, stating, "I was drawn to the myriad possibilities for character development stemming from the contrasting time periods."

He also recently starred in the second season of the medical K-Drama Dr. Romantic.

Why does he think the series is immensely popular among K-Drama fans?

"First, I think the realistic human stories that Dr. Romantic tells and the messages it throws out into the world give us food for thought regarding the direction of our own lives—what we ought to consider important in life, and why we need to keep living that way," he said in an interview with Naver as translated by Soompi.

Filipino-American content creator Bella Poarch is among the 50 honorees of Forbes Top Creators of 2023.

Named Denarie Bautista Taylor in real life, Bella is a United States Navy veteran. She rose to prominence in 2020 when her TikTok video lip syncing to "M to the B" by British rapper Millie B went viral.

In May 2021, she released her debut single "Build a Bitch."

The Fil-Am star released her first EP Dolls in August 2022.

In an interview with V Magazine in July 2022, Bella relayed the inspiration and influences behind the EP.

"Dolls is fun, dark pop music that has strong messages about self-empowerment and being true to yourself. I want listeners to feel confident when they listen to my songs," she said in the interview.

Bella also shared why she used dolls as a metaphor in her EP.

"We're in a society where we always have to look perfect and people would judge us when we don't look our best. So in that way, we're like dolls. We're continuously just trying to please other people. Dolls explores being okay, with not being perfect," she remarked.

In March 2023, Bella bagged her first Kid's Choice Award.

"Growing up in the Philippines, I never really had a family. But after being able to grow with all of you these past years..and with all this love..makes me really feel like I finally found what I’ve always been looking for. This ones for all of you guys, my real family❤️ Thank you for giving me my first award for music🥹," she posted back in March.

Bella dropped a new song called "Crush" with Lauv on September 15 this year.

In her solo interview with PUSH, the Shake, Rattle, & Roll actress finally confirmed that she and Nate were more than just friends.

Coming from the same home network, PUSH asked AC if she is still in contact or with the BGYO member.

“No. When there’s work. That’s it,” she admitted.

The 20-year-old Star Magic artist also shared the valuable lessons she learned from the relationship.

Actress Julia Montes took to social media to express her support for her good friend Kathryn Bernardo, who stars in the dark comedy film A Very Good Girl.

In an Instagram post, Julia praised her Mara Clara co-star for her powerful performance as Philo in her latest movie, which also stars Golden Globe nominee Dolly De Leon.
