I wanted you guys to get to know my core as a person. Bakit ba ako tinatawag na sad girl? At the end of the day, tayong mga sad girl or just people who just have sadness in general, it just stems from the universal theme of wanting to be loved. So that&rsquo;s really what the core of this album is about.<p>&quot;It&rsquo;s about one thing that all human beings want is that we all seek validation, we always seek to be accepted and that was the whole reason and the whole catalyst of my journey as a person. In the past, the singer and actress has been linked to Kapamilya stars Darren Espanto and Aljon Mendoza.<p>&ldquo;I think I made it clear in the short film that it was the loss of certain relationships. I think I&rsquo;ve realized was true loss was like. In a way that I never realized that before. So I consider that a lot of motivation in how I created the songs.<p>&quot;This all started as the Jayda Project is what we called it and I started writing these songs when I was 17. All I knew to myself was I&rsquo;m a album artist. I do like to putting out singles but I do consider myself to be an album artist. For me it was just about waiting for that right moment and concept. Those experiences shaped me as a person. Talagang nag-iba yung pananaw ko pagdating sa pag-ibig, pagdating sa buhay, sa friendships and things like that. That&rsquo;s why the loss of those things, I feel like pain teaches you so many things and I learned so much about myself as a person.<p>&quot;Ang dami ko rin natutunan sa sarili ko. Pati yung mga pagkakamali ko rin. When I write these songs, I never write them with the intention na gusto ko magpatama ng tao. Hindi siya ganun kasi. &nbsp;Ang pagsusulat ko ng mga kanta na ito, this is me telling my side of the story which is the truth because I don&rsquo;t write anything but the truth. It was really one of those times when I wrote out of fresh emotions and what I was going through at the moment. Parang sinulat ko yung kanta na yun just days after the relationship had ended. So it was all very fresh. I was still very much grieving so I think that was really the turning point of me as well where I realized that I wrote, &#39;Right Love, Wrong Time&#39; when I was at my lowest I think,&rdquo; she admitted.

<p>Fresh from performing in her dad&#39;s anniversary concert last July, Republic Records artist Jayda launched her latest body of work and concept album <em>Sad Girl Hours</em> last August 30 online.
