Karen Davila reflects on her YouTube journey for the past three years

<p id="isPasted">Since launching her YouTube channel in 2021, Karen Davila has already produced numerous vlogs and has amassed 2.12 million subscribers to date.&nbsp;</p><p>In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez for the TFC show <em>BRGY</em>, the broadcaster reflected on her journey as a YouTube vlogger.</p><p>&quot;I love YouTube and I&#39;ll be honest with you, I started YouTube May 2021 so I&#39;ve been on it now for three years and sa totoo lang takot na takot ako mag-YouTube noon,&quot; she revealed.&nbsp;</p><p>Karen recalled that YouTube was different from newscasting hence she had apprehensions at the beginning. &nbsp;</p><p>&quot;I&#39;ve been in television all my life so ang alam ko lang is TV. In other words, naging broadcaster ako without the pressure of uy &nbsp;magpro-produce ka or gagawa ka ng ganitong kwento, dapat panoorin ka. Because essentially, you&#39;re in the news you do it because they need to be told,&quot; she pointed out.</p><p>&quot;But YouTube is different, right? Dahil naisip ko nun wow if I start my YouTube channel sino naman ang manonood sa akin? Karen shared why she thinks her YouTube vlogs work.</p><p>&quot;There were people who actually guided me before I started my channel. I wanted to understand YouTube more and I think what I did in YouTube, the reason it works is because it&#39;s not about me. My YouTube is an inspirational channel and gives you a glimpse in the lives of other people, mostly celebrities, but it&#39;s also about other things in their lives,&quot; she stated.</p><p>The broadcaster went on: &quot;In the end, I always believe that there is a co-relation in the bible. I think why it&#39;s really special to me is because that appointment was all about my track record. They went through stories I did with <em>The Correspondents,</em> my reputation, things I stood for on social media and essentially how I live as a woman,&quot; she remarked.</p><p>&quot;For me it&#39;s something I find it very sacred, and I take it very seriously because I think to be a voice for women and to be able to uplift women, it is such an opportunity for us to do that,&quot; she added.</p>
