‘Zoomers’ cast express gratitude after winning international award

<p id="isPasted">Kapamilya youth-oriented show Zoomers recently won the Best Asian Short-Form Drama/Series award at the ContentAsia Awards 2024 held in Taipei, Taiwan.</p><p>During the Star Magic Spotlight event, creative producer Ted Boborol expressed how grateful and happy they were that an international award-giving body recognized the series starring young Filipino artists.</p><p>&ldquo;Thank you ABS-CBN YouTube. They are the ones who really na parang nagkaroon ng belief na &lsquo;Sige i-submit natin yung Zoomers sa ContentAsia Awards&rsquo; so, sobrang nakakaproud kasi who would have thought because we are just supposedly a small online show and then mga baguhan (the cast) and then biglang Best Asian short-form series,&rdquo; Direk Ted said elatedly.</p><p><img src="https://ent-image-api.abs-cbn.com/Prod/editorImage/Zoomers-2.jpg" style="width: 500px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"></p><p>He also told <a href="http://push.abs-cbn.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>PUSH</em></u></strong></a> that it was surprising for him to receive the award and at the same time expected it as he believed that the series has its &quot;own edge.&quot;</p><p>&ldquo;Hoping for the best but expecting the worst but really wala kaming expectations. Akala namin small show lang kami and then siyempre Asia na iyan. We were very happy for the kids kasi when Direk Lauren (Dyogi) conceptualized the show. It was really meant to launch new stars from Star Magic kaya nga nagsimula sa reality show.
