Fifth Solomon recalls coming out story in PBB

Film director and actor Fifth Solomon recalled his time inside the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbgen112024">Pinoy Big Brother</a> (PBB) house where he was able to come out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Very thankful dahil dito ako nagka chance to own my coming out story, sa aking own time. I had the chance to have a platform and to have a deciding factor when to come out,&rdquo; he wrote.The production company owner added how he personally prepared for his coming out story while he was still a housemate. He revealed that the staff of the reality program never forced him to come out and it was all his decision to do so.&ldquo;Sa totoo lang, nung araw na naisipan ko mag out sa loob ng bahay ni kuya, sabi ko: sh*t chance ko na to para magkaroon ng bonggang coming out story on a national TV. Hours before ako mag out sa loob ng bahay ni kuya, Nagdamit ako, nagsapatos. Gulat si Kuya, mag out na pala ako. I wanted my coming out story to be memorable, slayable and ICONIC,&rdquo; he recalled.He was later given a chance to talk to a psychologist about his coming out &nbsp;to process what just happened as he admitted how afraid he felt even after revealing his true self on national television.<a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2021/2/4/fresh-scoops/my-sassy-girl-director-fifth-solomon-dreams-of-w-191502">READ: &lsquo;My Sassy Girl&rsquo; director Fifth Solomon dreams of working with KathNiel in the future</a>Fifth added that it was because of his coming out inside the PBB house which made him &ldquo;regain&rdquo; his power to fight back against people who once outed him when he was younger.&ldquo;Before ako mag out sabi ng mga tao &#39;Umamin ka na lang kasi&#39; pero noong nag out na ako sabi naman nila &#39;Sayang ka&#39; haha! Diba?! Walang Sayang sa Pagpapakatotoo kahit ayaw naman ng marami ang totoo. Mas sayang ang pagkatao mo kapag nakinig ka sa mga taong wala namang kinalamaan sa pagkatao mo,&rdquo; he continued.The former PBB housemate maintained that he has no regrets coming out to the public a decade ago as he was able to be his authentic self on top of having multiple business ventures.&ldquo;Salamat @PBBabscbn Fam for giving me a bonggang Platform. And to all, wala kayong karapatan na magdesisyon sa kasarian ng isang tao. Coming out is a personal decision,&rdquo; he ended.
