Kapamilya actress and executive Charo Santos took a trip down memory lane and reminisced about her first acting role in the industry.

On her Instagram page, Charo shared snapshots from when she starred in her first acting project.  

"Reflecting on my first role in Itim and now embracing the upfront spirit of Batang Quiapo, my career has been a tapestry of diverse and powerful stories," she posted on social media.

"Always grateful for the opportunity to act and play these roles!" the Kapamilya star added.

Itim is a supernatural horror drama film in 1976 directed by Mike de Leon. The film follows the story of a young photographer named Jun (Tommy Abuel) who visits his father's hometown where he encounters a mysterious woman named Teresa (Charo).

Charo is currently starring in the hit Kapamilya primetime series FPJ's Batang Quiapo which she headlines alongside Coco Martin. In the series, Charo plays the role of Tindeng.

The June 26 episode of the television series drew over half a million concurrent views online which featured Charo's intense confrontation scene with the character of Mercedes Cabral named Lena. Following the episode, Charo shared the behind-the-scenes on social media.

"Ang sabunutan nina Tindeng at Lena na nauwi sa tawanan at yakapan sa Batang Quiapo. Swipe for proof!" she posted.

Charo is also set to headline a movie with Dingdong Dantes. Filming of the project recently wrapped up as announced by film director Irene Villamor.

"Making this movie is an unforgettable journey! After 6 years of waiting, the stars have aligned! Thank you Direk Irene @ayrin for your heartwarming gratitude, and for every moment shared," Charo said as she commented on an Instagram post by Irene who shared snapshots from their final day of shoot.

The Kapamilya star also expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew of the movie.

"To my co-actors, staff, crew, and producers- your belief, hard work and dedication made this dream possible. And, to my leading man , @dongdantes , my deepest thanks for this beautiful film. Here’s to all the waiting, the odds, and the magic we created together!" she stated.
