G-Force elevates Filipino dance through Dance Project Asia

Powerhouse dance group G-Force successfully launched the first Dance Project Asia last March 24 at the BGC Immersive in Taguig City. In an exclusive PUSH interview with Teacher Georcelle, the veteran choreographer expressed her happiness as their plans have finally come into fruition.&nbsp; &ldquo;This is the very first and we&rsquo;re very happy that it has materialized. This has been a dream in a way because our teachers get to go out of the country and take classes for research and development. This time we&rsquo;re able to bring four amazing and gifted teachers from different parts of Asia and to share their gift,&rdquo; she shared. Participants of the pioneering workshop in the country were immersed in intensive training and learned new choreography while exploring the different cultural nuances of Asian dance styles.&nbsp; &ldquo;Di na kailangan umalis ng bansa, lumipad sa ibang bansa ng estudyante namin&ndash;&ndash; we&rsquo;re going to bring them here at GForce Dance Center. Last year, we invited international choreographers but this is the very first na talagang with a lot of fusion [and] flavors in one project,&rdquo; she added. The renowned choreographer added that she is happy to see how dance has become a career path now. She explained to PUSH that she grew up without seeing dance as an option as an occupation&nbsp;as it was only seen as a hobby back then. &ldquo;I really want dance to be recognized as the other career out there. Now that it has evolved and there are [several] platforms [such as] TikTok where dance is really not intimidating anymore to all the people. Ang sarap because alam mo dance can make the people happy&ndash;&ndash; it can really make the people feel alive,&rdquo; she said.&nbsp; Teacher Georcelle and the G-Force Dance Center aren&#39;t stopping with just one Dance Project Asia as they are set to continue building Filipino dance excellence on the world stage. She revealed that they will be on tour this year in several countries such as Canada, Japan, and USA.&nbsp; &ldquo;I&rsquo;m very happy because we keep on spreading the gift of dance. G-Force project is going to tour this year,&rdquo; she continued. G-Force Dance Center is known to be a powerhouse when it comes to making choreographies for well-known Filipino artists.&nbsp;
