Following the concert, 2NE1 member Sandara took to social media to express her gratitude for this reunion concert.

"I'm just so thankful and so happy... It still feels like a dream and I can't sleep... But I have to go to sleep quickly for tomorrow's performance!!!! Good night everyone 🥹🙏🏻♠️♥️ Let's play again tomorrow!!!" she posted on social media platform X as per English translation by Google.

Fans online also took to social media to celebrate the kickoff of the "Welcome Back" concert in Seoul.

"Congrats ati! You girls exceeded our expectations! Thank you for making all blackjacks the happiest! Good luck on the rest of the shows!" one fan wrote.

"Thank you for making our dreams into reality. You rocked and slayed on stage. My Queens. Happiest person here," another fan commented.

After Seoul, 2NE1 will be bringing the Welcome Back concert to more stops in Asia including Kobe, Tokyo, Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, and Jakarta.

In a past interview with Dispatch, Sandara shared the preparations that the group had been doing for the concert.

"It's still like a dream, it's so good. It feels good, even though it's so hard to practice. We started practicing this week and we've been working hard. We're dancing for seven hours non-stop, and we're all four working hard because we know this moment is precious," she said.

It was in July when YG Entertainment announced that the K-Pop group will be reuniting for a global tour for their 15th anniversary.

"The first successful YG girl group was 2NE1. The members of 2NE1 informed me that they'd like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary so we caught up and happily discussed in making it all happen within this year," YG's founder Yang Hyun-suk shared in an announcement video posted in July.

Composed of Sandara, CL, Bom, and Minzy, 2NE1 made their debut in 2009.
