After eight years of being single, former Miss Universe runner-up Venus Raj has found love again and is set to tie the knot with her non-showbiz fiancé, events photographer North Orillan.

The beauty queen, 35, shared the exciting news with her followers on Instagram on Sunday, December 10, alongside photos from their engagement shoot held at Crystal Beach Resort in Zambales.

“There is a blessing in waiting. For 8 years, God allowed me to be single. Since I have fully surrendered my life to Jesus, I have never entered into a romantic relationship. I asked Him to protect my heart and to keep it until the right man comes," she wrote.

She went on: "The Lord brought me on a beautiful journey of grace, joy, learning, trials, challenges, loneliness, and victories. In the process, I have devoted my single years to serving the Lord, serving communities, and serving my family. God is indeed the giver of good gifts, He knows His timeline for my life, and the right time has finally come."

“In a few days, I will be spending the rest of my life with this man of God that my Father has brought me to,” she said. My prayer is that, together, we will journey towards God’s will in fulfilling His purpose for our union. We pray to glorify and honor Him in our lives. We have a future ahead of us, it will not be perfect, but God is the anchor that will keep us secure," she continued.

Venus also left a message for those who are still looking for their true love.

“If you are still single and praying to the Lord for marriage, please know that God hears your prayers and He knows the desires of your heart. The answer might be — wait, yes, or no, but one thing is for sure, He knows what’s best for you. Trust His process,” she remarked.

Following her announcement, fans and friends of Venus congratulated her on the engagement, including fellow beauty queens Janine Tugonon, Shamcey Supsup, MJ Lastimosa, Ariella Arida, Bea Rose Santiago, Pauline Amelinckx, Miriam Quiambao, and Jehza Huelar.

“The news is finally out!!! Yiheeee. Congratulations manay,” MJ wrote.

“OMG!!! Napag usapan lang natin before but now…. Sooo sooo happy for you. God is great all the time! Love you!!!” Jenna said.

“So excited for you sis!! See you at the wedding!” Miriam added.

Venus rose to fame when she represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant, where she finished in fourth place.

She previously dated former Umagang Kay Ganda host and now CNN Philippines anchor Andrei Felix.

Speaking on ABS-CBN’s Tapatan Ni Tunying in 2013, the Filipino-Indian beauty was asked about her plans to settle down.

“’Pag dumating na po ‘yung tamang lalaki para sa akin. Kahit bata pa o matanda ka na, basta alam mo na ‘yan ang tamang tao para sa’yo. Kasi lifetime mong makakasama ‘yan,” she said at the time.
