John Lapus emotional after receiving Star Magic’s loyalty award

The 50-year-old Star Magic artist revealed how he found out that the management was pitching him to everyone in the industry for work opportunities.&nbsp; He said this is one of the reasons why he stayed and became loyal to Star Magic despite leaving ABS-CBN and exploring other opportunities with other networks.&nbsp; &ldquo;Loyalty is always returned. Sa sobrang loyal ko sa Star Magic, kusa na nila akong ibinebenta na parang isda sa palengke,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Kasi, &#39;yung pinagbebentehan nila sakin mga kaibigan ko din so nakakarating sa akin. Yung mga kaibigan ko wala naman magawa. Kusa nila ako ibinibenta na parang isda sa palengke sa lahat ng producers, directors, boss na kilala nila,&quot; he added.&nbsp; &quot;Because after all, sa totoo lang, alam naman ng Star Magic kung sino sa atin ang nangangailangan ng trabaho. Surviving and hopefully here to stay. Kaya naman gusto ko sana umapila sa mga superstars ng Star Magic to recommend, request, suggest your kapatids in Star Magic especially the new ones to your producers, directors, and bosses. Makikinig sila sa inyo&ndash;&ndash;superstar kayo eh. Promise hindi naman kayo mapapahiya,&rdquo; he shared. To cap off his emotional speech, John requested his other Star Magic artists remain good above all else. He reasoned out that a true Star Magic artist does not only have talent, but good character as well. &ldquo;Let us all aspire to be a good person. Our talent will get us to the door but our character will keep us [in] the room. Tandaan, ang mabait napupunta sa langit hindi ang talented. I believe it is only when we have an excellent talent and an admirable attitude that all of us Star Magic artists could truly say that we are tatak star magic,&rdquo; he ended.
