The Philippines ranked fourth among the countries tweeting most about Korean content in the world.

On Tuesday, September 6, social media giant Twitter shared the data of the countries "tweeting most about K-content" in 2022.

South Korea landed in the number one spot, Thailand ranked second, the US placed third, and the Philippines made it to the number four spot.

Other countries included in the list are Indonesia (5th), India (6th), Malaysia (7th), Brazil (8th), Japan (9th), and the UK (10th), among others.

Snowdrop is the most tweeted K-Drama in the Philippines, followed by Twenty Five Twenty One (2nd), All of Us Are Dead (3rd), Business Proposal (4th), and Our Beloved Summer (5th).

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is in the 6th spot, Semantic Error in the 7th, Anna in the 8th, The Red Sleeve in the 9th, and Forecasting Love and Weather in the 10th.

According to Twitter, tweets related to K-content have grown 546 percent over the past 10 years. The popularity of K-Pop around the world has contributed to the growth of K-content tweets on the platform.

"K-content’s growth on Twitter follows the explosive growth pattern K-pop showed. Twitter's strength, which allowed K-Pop to expand its territory globally over the past few years, is expected to contribute to K-content spreading globally. Communities which were formed based on K-Pop have now been expanded to other categories such as movies, dramas, and webtoons," Twitter shared.

K-Pop stars' participation in K-Dramas has also helped the growth of K-content posts on Twitter.

"The appearance of K-POP stars such as Kim Sejeong of ‘Business Proposal’, Lee Junho of ‘The Red Sleeve’, Lee Jieun (IU) of ‘Broker’ and Ok Taecyeon of ‘Hansan’ led the surge in related Tweets among fans around the world. The drama ‘Our Beloved Summer’ recorded the most number of tweets on the day BTS V's soundtrack ‘Christmas Tree’ was released," Twitter said.
