A self-confessed fan of several K-pop idols, Sharon Cuneta shared a happy moment while attending the one-night only concert of K-pop band NCT 127 at the Mall of Asia arena last September 4. The Megastar has been a big fan of the South Korean boy group along with her youngest daughter Miel who was the one who first influenced her to join the band’s fandom. They first watched them perform live in Manila at the Pop World Music Festival in 2019 and was able to meet the band backstage after the show.

In her post, Sharon wrote about her concert experience as a fan girl and also made sure to thank her idols in Philippine cinemas as well, “Yesterday. I actually cried when the show ended and the boys were saying goodbye while leaving the stage  Galing my boys!!! Thank you so much, @bcloma for taking care of us. NCT come back soon! And I mean please, 127, Dream, WayV and the rookies!!! We love you so much! Sana EXO at SHINee muna din!  (P.S. I am very loving towards my fans because I know how it feels to be a fan! Thank you, K-Pop, Ate Vi, Ate Hilda, Ate LT my original idols!) @rosavilmasantosrecto @lornatolentinofernandez”

Aside from NCT, Sharon has also been vocal about her admiration for other K-pop groups like SHINee. In an earlier post, Sharon wrote, “Sometimes I get comments like ‘You’re too old to be a K-Pop fan’. No, that’s not true. I guess, for me, especially because I had my own show for so many years when I was in my twenties and thirties. And I did a lot of singing of all genres and a lot of dancing as well so I appreciate the dancing and singing and that just doesn’t end … it doesn’t stop. There’s no age limit to what makes you happy, to loving what you love — and I happen to love SHINee, that Korean boyband.”
