Fourth generation K-pop girl group, Lapillus, is in Manila for two weeks of promotional activities, which would include press conferences and fan meetings. For their first few days, the members of the girl group have been eating Filipino food which member Chanty recommended to them.
During their press conference last Monday, September 5, the members shared the Filipino food they like the most. Surprisingly, the girls have different preferences from each other.
“I had champorado when I arrived and I found it very delicious. Chanty also suggested I have garlic rice for breakfast and I did and it was very, very delicious," member Shana said.
The girls revealed that Chanty, a former Star Magic artist, would be sharing her stories back in their dorm when she was still living in the Philippines. The Lapillus members were always amazed with her stories and were excited to hear that they would be visiting Chanty’s home country.
“Chanty introduced me to ube. I heard it from my fans, too, because of my hair color before and so I finally tried it, it was so good," said Yue.
Meanwhile, Chanty shared that she feels glad to be back in her home country. The singer told the media that she was already feeling the warm welcome of the Filipinos even before they arrived.
"I have so many words to describe how I feel right now, but I'm just really, really happy that I get to promote 'Hit Ya!', promote our group here in the Philippines, my home country, it's really an honor," she said.
Lapillus will be holding a fan meeting event for their Filipino supporters on September 10 and 11 in Market! Market! in Taguig City and in Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces in Quezon City, respectively.
The girls have also revealed that they are still deciding on the fandom name of the K-pop girl group. Along with their entertainment agency, MLD entertainment, they’ll soon decide on what they’ll be calling their fans.
In the meantime, Lapillus is set to make its comeback after their debut song, “Hit Ya!”. They’ll be releasing their latest single, “Gratata”, on September 22.
