James Reid is one proud manager to Careless Music talent Liza Soberano who bagged a role in the Hollywood film Lisa Frankenstein.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, James described Liza's achievement as truly “incredible."

"I think [she] should be making history as a Filipina actress and this is just the beginning," he said.

James attributed Liza's success to the latter's hard work and efforts.

"All we did was open the right doors but it was really Liza that landed the role. She sent in an audition tape. She was up against some other very talented actors but she landed the role," he remarked.

It was in August when it was announced that Liza will be making her Hollywood debut in Lisa Frankenstein. The actress will play the role of an '80s high school cheerleader named Taffy in the film.

Liza inked a contract with Careless Music back in June.

In the same interview, James also talked about his upcoming album LOVESCENE which is set to drop in October.

He said that he is currently focused on music right now and he does not see himself doing acting at the moment.

"I've been working on an album all year so it's coming out in October. I am putting all the efforts for acting on Liza. I can't imagine me doing acting right now. It's just there's a lot I'm doing, there are still a lot of things I want to achieve in music," he stated.

James teased that his album will feature collaborations with K-Pop and L.A. artists.

"It's really me and my team who are very in sync with what we are trying to achieve. We can take this globally," he said.
