After showing her full support for her youngest daughter’s decision to come out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride month last June, Sharon Cuneta celebrated another milestone in Miel Pangilinan’s life as she turned 18 on September 2. In her latest Instagram post, the Megastar shared what she loves the most about her daughter whom she fondly calls “Yeyie.”
She wrote, “Happy 18th Birthday to my youngest baby girl, my third princess, Mariel Daniella Sophia. Miel, you look like me, even sound like me, are like me and so unlike me in very many different ways! I am proud of the woman you have become and of the courage you have managed to gather and display to the world. Of course I will always miss the little girl whose world was her Mama and was always dikit to her, but as long as I know that you love me, all’s alright in my world, no matter what bad things life has and continues to throw my way every so often. I love you with all my heart, and though my heart (yet again!) breaks at you now being an adult, leaving me with no more little princesses to dote on and one last (huge) prince who’s turning 13 soon (!), I am happy that you know right from wrong and live your life on your terms without hurting anyone as you do. Happy 18th, Yeyie! Mama will love you forever and ever. P.S. Thank you for introducing me to the world of K-Pop and therefore adding so much life to my…jaded one? And letting me be the big kid I’ve always really just been.”
In another post, Sharon also shared a fan-made video of the birthday girl singing her mom’s classic OPM song “Bituing Walang Ningning” taken from one of Miel’s Instagram Live sessions.
The Megastar wrote the caption, “Hay madre…how did you grow so big, so fast?! I love you! Happy 18th, my baby! (padami na ng padami ang NCT U ha!) Sali pa Stray Kids at TXT at Aespa at Itzy! Thank you for this, my @megaberksonline.”
Last June, Miel came out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. She has clarified that she identifies as queer and not a lesbian.
