Belle Mariano recently bagged her first international award at the Seoul International Drama Awards, which was held in South Korea.
In an interview with Star Magic News, the Kapamilya star remarked that she truly cherished the moment when she received the award in Korea.
"Honestly I'm lost for words. I can't describe the feeling once I was there on the stage. Nung una kinakabahan ako. Siyempre first time ko mag-accept ng award on stage and it is being held in Korea pa. 'Yung moment when I was there on stage, I just really cherished the moment," Belle said.
The actress attributed her success to her supporters saying, "It was really humbling and I was so grateful. Of course I would like to thank everyone who supported me and who believed in me from the very beginning. This is all for you guys."
Belle shared that ever since she was young, winning awards was something she dreamed of.
"Ever since I really wanted to win awards. This is just the first of many, I am claiming it. Super fulfilling siya, super talaga. Para akong little girl na na-achieve niya 'yung dream niya," she said.
Now with an international award in her career portfolio, what is Belle's next goal from here?
"My next goal, we are in the middle of shooting a movie right now and obviously we would want that to go international, so siyempre award for that movie as well and sana mas maraming ma-recognize ng talent ng Filipinos," she said.
In the same interview, Belle also shared her message to her fans saying, " I wouldn't be here without them so maraming, maraming salamat. This accomplishment is also yours guys and grabe kung pwede ko ibigay sa inyo 'yung award, you guys deserve it and I'm going to do my very best para makakuha pa tayo ng maraming awards."
Belle is set to headline a new movie with Donny Pangilinan this year titled An Inconvenient Love. It will mark the return of Star Cinema in theaters.
