Karylle and Gian Magdangal star in the Repertory Philippines’ musical ‘Carousel’

<p>Originally slated for a May 2020 debut, local theater company Repertory Philippines re-opens its doors this year with the beloved Broadway musical <em>Carousel</em> which will be headlined by a star-studded cast led by Karylle Tatlonghari and Gian Magdangal playing the lead stars and directed by Toff De Venecia.</p><p>First staged on Broadway in 1945, this modern reimagining of the well-loved production is based on the original story which is about carousel barker Billy Bigelow (Gian) who falls in love with millworker Julie Jordan (Karylle). Their relationship becomes complicated with Billy joins a robbery in order to provide for Julie and their unborn child.
