Following their cryptic posts on social media last September 17, legendary Filipino rock band Eraserheads will be holding a concert on December 22, 2022. All four members of the band made the announcement on their respective social media accounts earlier today, September 19.
The concert will be held at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
The band’s drummer, Raymond Marasigan, announced that he will be doing a question and answer session on September 20 to give fans an idea of what to expect from the highly-anticipated concert.
“Daren and I are taping an offstage hang episode on sept 20 tuesday night Manila time.
Leave your questions in the comments section of the latest offstage hang IG post. I’ll try to answer them. cheers! #askrayms,” he wrote.
Fans of the Eraserheads expressed their excitement following the announcement of the show, which marks the legendary OPM band’s first concert in years.
Some celebrities also requested songs the group should play in December. Itchyworms guitarist and It’s Showtime host Jugs Jugueta commented in Buddy Zabala’s post, saying he wants to hear them play “The Fabulous Baker Boy.”
The band is known for their hit songs such as “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Alapaap,” “Pare Ko,” “Overdrive,” and “Magasin,” among others.
Eraserheads was formed in 1989 and have been making hits after hits since then. In 2002, the band announced their disbandment following the departure of Ely. They are considered to be one of the most-loved OPM rock bands ever made.
Meanwhile, ticket details have yet to be posted on the website and social media pages dedicated to the event.
