Cherry Pie Picache third-wheeled in her son Nio Tria and non-showbiz girlfriend’s recent date night!
It was last 2021 when Cherry Pie Picache’s only son Jose Antonio “Nio” Tria officially followed in his mom’s footsteps after becoming a member of Squad Plus.
The 20-year-old actor and tennis athlete went on to be part of ABS-CBN digital series like Click, Like, Share and Saying Goodbye that same year. Nio has always been vocal about how supportive his mom is of his career.
“Ever since naman sobrang supportive yung mom ko sa tennis career and sa acting career. She’s very supportive and hands on as a mom kahit busy siya sa trabaho. Very grateful ako and very blessed na ganun yung mom ko, na siya yung mom,” Nio said.
“Sobrang matulungin siya sa career ko ngayon sa pagiging artista. She makes sure na maayos yung mga lighting, ganun. Very blessed lang ako and I’m just happy na supportive yung mom ko,” he added.
Over the weekend, the 52-year-old actress spent some more quality time with her son when she joined him and his non-showbiz girlfriend Chayee’s birthday dinner based on a photo she shared in a post last September 17.
Cherry Pie posted snapshots and videos from the six-course French dinner at a hotel in Manila called Le Petit Chef
“Time flies. Now I’m 3rd wheeling. ‘Twas a bliss dating you two @niotria! Happy birthday, @cchayee!!!❤️🙏 The girl at heart, strikes again. #lepetitchef #grandhyattmanila #gastronomicaldelight #childatheartforever #thankfulgratefulblessed.” Cherry Pie wrote in her post.
It was last year when Cherry Pie and Edu Manzano confirmed that they have entered into a relationship. Nio accepted his mom’s new love with no questions asked and had even gone on vacations with the couple.
“Full support ako sa kanila. I love my mom so much so seeing her happy also makes me happy,” he shared in a previous interview.
Nio is Cherry's son with her former non-showbiz partner Gary Tria whom she separated with in 2011. Before joining showbiz, Nio was known as a top-ranked tennis player who had won tournaments in and outside the country and had also received a full athletics scholarship at a university in Los Angeles, California.
