As schools opened up for face-to-face classes, former beauty queen Lara Quigaman gave her followers an idea of what it’s like to homeschool their kids. On Instagram, the actress shared that she went back to “teacher mommy” mode earlier this week.
The actress also mentioned how she had to balance teaching with housework and her professional career.
Though it was a bit challenging for Lara to balance everything out, she shared how thankful she is for her husband, Marco Alcaraz, for helping her when things start to get rough.
“I'm on Teacher Mommy mode again as we officially started our homeschooling year this week and already, I feel like I'm gasping for air, trying to balance work, homeschool, housework, errands… and I am truly thankful that I have an awesome Daddy Teacher as partner,” she said.
Lara also showed to her followers the book that’s been keeping her sane throughout her journey as teacher-mom. According to the former Miss International winner, a friend gave her the book which helps her reflect on the things that happen.
“Super helpful and encouraging! It is a reminder to slow down and reflect. I am mostly stressed thinking about all the things I need to do and preparing for each day that I tend to neglect preparing my heart and mind too,” she continued.
In the comments, the friend who gave her the book was delighted that Lara found it very useful.
“Thank you for sharing @laraquigaman So kilig!! God be praised. May He bless your journey with joy and laughter. Sis, one day at a time,” Lara’s friend commented.
As the first week of homeschooling finished for her, Lara also took the time to thank her Lord for giving her the strength to persevere each day. For the actress, it calms her down knowing that she spends time to pause, pray, and spend time with the Lord.
Lara and Marco got married in 2010 in a civil wedding in Canada. They proceeded to have an intimate ceremony in Indang, Cavite in 2012. Since then, they have welcomed three sons, Noah Lamar, Tobias Nolan, and Moses Marc.
