Singer Jaya and her family are safe after losing their home in the United States to fire, she revealed on Monday, August 8 (PH Time).
"God is so good! Our house just burned to the ground but we are all safe! I have no words but GOD IS GOOD!!!" wrote the country's "Queen of Soul" as she shared a photo of their burned house on Instagram.
Several celebrities were extremely worried for Jaya as they flooded her post with comments expressing their concern.
"Oh my gosh Iyay!!! Oh dear God…I am so so sorry but praise God you are all safe," wrote Sharon Cuneta.
"OH MY GOOD LORD!!!!" exclaimed Gary Valenciano.
"Guys!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. Praise God you are ok," added Ogie Alcasid.
Notably, the incident happened just a few days after Jaya celebrated the 16th birthday of her daughter, singer Sabriya Gotidoc.
In her own post after the fire, Sabriya said: "I'm obviously not doing okay but I'm just happy I'm with my family and no one was injured."
"Even [though] I feel stressed and confused about everything, I still have peace. Thank you again to everyone that helped and to everyone who is praying for us and with us. Appreciate everyone, much love."
Jaya, 51, returned to the US last year with her family to start a new life.
