Ina Raymundo couldn’t help but turn emotional as she bid goodbye to her son Jakob Poturnak.
“Bye for now, kuya,” Ina simply wrote in the caption of her post on Instagram.
While Ina did not give any details about her son’s departure, it appears he will be off to the US for his studies.
Jakob has been accepted at Xavier University, where he will be playing for the US NCAA Division 1 baseball squad.
Ina proudly shared her son’s achievement as part of the Cincinnati-based Musketeers in an Instagram post last November 2021.
“My son is now officially a Xavier Musketeer. To be playing D1 college baseball is one of the best achievements in your life, Jakob. We are so proud of you,” she said.
“But of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the 101% support you get from your dad. I’ve witnessed the best teamwork between the two of you, that also includes Coach Alex, thank you. Thank you Lord, for orchestrating all these blessings,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ina’s daughter Erika Rae flew to the US last August to pursue college at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Apart from Erika Rae and Jakob, Ina has three other children with her husband Brian Poturnak named Mikaela Jade, Anika Sage, and Minka Eve.
