Hidilyn Diaz took to social media to mark the 6th anniversary of her winning a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The athlete described it as one of the most memorable days of her life, according to her  Instagram post on Sunday, August 7.

"Dear Weightlifting, today marks 6 years since I had won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio #Olympics. I can still remember how magical that day was, how God surprised me with a Silver medal 🥈 when I was just aiming for a Bronze🥉, it was one of the proudest moments of my life," she wrote.

The weightlifter also said that she will be competing again at the Olympics two years from now.

"Today, we are also officially 2 years to go, before I step onto the platform at the #2024ParisOlympics. These hands are a reminder that despite all I have accomplished, Weightlifting has pushed me to continue to work my hardest para sa bayan natin," she said.

Hidilyn, who got married to Julius Naranjo on July 26, said that they have decided to push aside their honeymoon to focus on her training.

"Itabi muna natin ang honeymoon, we only have 730 days left. Kahit mahirap, even though I do notneed to prove anything, gusto ko pa rin gawin ang lahat ng makakaya ko para sa Weightlifting at sa Pilipinas," she remarked.

Hidilyn invited her followers to join her in her journey towards her "last lift" at the Olympics.

She wrote: "I am manifesting this dahil ito ang gusto ko at weightlifting ang nagpapasaya sakin. Samahan ninyo ako sa aking desisyon to go for my #LastLift. #TeamHD will be with me throughout the whole process pero kailangan ko ang suporta at dasal ninyong lahat."

"I am determined to do more for our country. I am claiming this, for the love of God and our country,” the Olympic gold medalist added.
