Sunshine Cruz and Matteo Guidicelli, who have worked with the veteran actress on the television drama series Dolce Amore, shared a few words on how honored they were to have worked with Cherie.

“RIP Ms. Cherie Gil. It was an honor to have worked with you in ‘Dolce Amore’. Sending heartfelt condolences to the whole Eigenmann family,” Sunshine wrote.

“I will forever cherish the memories on and off set during Dolce Amore and Single/Single. Thank you tita. Rest In Peace,” Matteo shared.

Meanwhile, Vilma Santos, who worked with the late actress on hit Filipino movies such as Palimos ng Pag-ibig, Imortal, and Saan Nagtatago ang Pag-ibig, also sent her condolences on social media. 

The star for all seasons considered Cherie as one of her closest friends in the industry, dating their friendship way back to the 1980s when they filmed scenes together.

“Rest In Peace, my Friend. We Love you, Ms.Cherie.🙏♥️ Thank you!,” Vilma said.

Ice Seguerra recalled his time spent with the actress on a vacation in Batanes. For the singer, the industry lost one of the most beloved actresses ever. 

“I will never forget our Batanes trip. We had so much fun! We've shared stories and beautiful memories together,” he shared. 

Other stars like Dennis Trillo and Edu Manzano have shared how much they’ll be missing the actress and the friendship they built on-set.

Cherie was 59 years old when she passed away.
