Vogue Philippines unveiled its very first cover on Monday, August 29.

"The Philippines is fashion’s new frontier. For our maiden issue, Vogue Philippines takes you on a voyage through the three main islands of the Philippine archipelago—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao," Vogue Philippines said as it revealed its first cover.

Featured on the cover is American-Filipino model Chloe Magno who was photographed by British-Filipino-Egyptian photographer Sharif Hamza.

"Our hope was guided by the Filipino values of Malasakit (deep empathy), Bayanihan (community), and optimism that defines so much of our culture. Instead, this bounty was showered on us, openly and generously, by so many of our fellow countrymen," Vogue Philippines Editor-in-Chief Bea Valdes remarked.

Meanwhile, Chloe penned a heartfelt post on social media following the launch of her Vogue Philippines cover.

"I cannot begin to describe what this cover means to me and everyone involved with this story. This is the product of love. I have been fortunate enough to work in this industry for a decade. In that time I have never experienced a group of people who are more dedicated, hardworking, and joyous as the crew involved with this story. I gave my everything to this shoot and I know the same is true for everyone who worked on this monumental project," she wrote.

The model also attributed the success of their Vogue shoot to the local communities who supported them along the way.

"The local communities were with us offering support, knowledge, and encouragement every step of the way. Our motivation and inspiration came from shooting this project alongside the very people we were doing it for," she said.

The first issue of Vogue Philippines will be on sale on August 31.
