Singer-songwriter Jayda Avanzado is set to finally make her acting debut in the upcoming iWantTFC and Black Sheep series Teen Clash.
Jayda shared the exciting news with her one million followers on Instagram, saying it was two years ago when she was first offered to play the role of Zoe in the series.
"2 years ago when a certain project was pitched to me by Inang Olive Lamasan and ABS-CBN Films, I took the chance to immerse myself into its story, which was from Wattpad; and being a longtime Wattpad reader and a true bookworm at heart, I was hooked, and knew from then on that I wanted to be a part of it!" she wrote.
"That project was called Teen Clash. So it’s with much happiness that I get to finally announce that I’m taking on the role of Zoe in the series adaptation of Teen Clash!"
Based on the book by Ilyn Anne Danganan, the series adaptation of Teen Clash will also star Markus Paterson as Jude and Aljon Mendoza as Ice.
"I remember having major writer’s block while working on my second album when I first got wind of ‘Teen Clash’ then while shooting something different for @riseartistsstudio, we had the chance to read some of the script and it got me so excited to begin the project," wrote Markus on Instagram.
Aljon also shared his excitement for the project on his Twitter account, saying, "Pinakikialamanan ko lang dati 'yung 'Teen Clash' book ng ate ko tapos ngayon gaganap na ako sa character ni Ice. Who would’ve thought? Grateful and so excited for this."
Teen Clash will be directed by Gino M. Santos, who is best known for his films Ex With Benefits and Love Me Tomorrow. A release date for the series has yet to be announced.
