The Philippine adaptation of Flower of Evil has captured the attention of South Korean actor Lee Joon-gi, who played the lead role in the original version of the series.

On his Instagram page, Joon-gi uploaded the poster of the Philippine adaptation of the popular K-Drama, which stars Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe.

"I heard about this! from my Philippines family yeah I will check this out. And it will be great very happy to see you guys," Jong-gi posted.

The Korean actor played the role of Baek Hee-sung and Do Hyun-soo in the series.

Lovi was quick to react to Joon-gi's post and commented, "MY HEART. You and the whole cast gave such a powerful performance that people all over the world wanted to make adaptations of the show."

Filipino fans also extended their gratitude to Joon-gi for putting the spotlight on the Philippine version of the series.

The Philippine adaptation of Flower of Evil premiered in June this year.

Iris investigates a murder case which is linked to the past of her husband.

"The storytelling is different from the Korean version. More than feeling pressured, there’s excitement because we’ve successfully managed to own this story,” Piolo said in an interview back in June.
