Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has been hit with the infectious diseases as announced on his Instagram account on Sunday, August 14.
The singer, who has been very careful with his health throughout the pandemic, knows that he will overcome COVID-19.
“After two and a half years since the lockdown, today Aug. 14 2022, inabot din. Let’s do this Lord,” he wrote on Instagram.
Friends of Ogie such as Aiko Melendez, KaladKaren, Gary Valenciano, and Janno Gibbs, among others, have commented on his post, wishing for the singer’s speedy recovery.
“You will he well in Jesus' name! You have a great immune system, rest and take it easy. I had it twice and got better,” long-time friend Jaya commented.
“Ingat po ang lahat… We test everyday sa work and keep ourselves protected and yet inabot din,” Ogie tweeted.
Prior to getting a positive result, Ogie and his wife, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, shared a rare Wednesday dinner together as both of them have been busy with their individual work.
Ogie revealed that he and Regine shared how they enjoy their work and how "blessed" they feel for having work despite the pandemic.
Ogie and Regine have been married since 2010 and they have a child together. The two were recently clouded with rumors on marital problems but Ogie quickly denied the allegations thrown at them.
