BTS member Jungkook and Charlie Puth's song "Left and Right" debuted at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to Billboard, it's the highest debut on the chart this week.

The song also landed the number one spot on Billboard's top-selling song.

Jungkook and Charlie released their collaboration on June 24.

The song immediately went to number one on the Worldwide iTunes chart on the first day of its release.

In a recent interview with Z100 New York, Charlie shared the story on how his collaboration with Jungkook came into fruition and why he chose the BTS member as his collaborator for this song.

"He immediately came to mind because, and by the way I didn't even know that they would be going into hiatus when I reached out to him and asked if he would like to be part of it. But we have the musical history together. We had performed in an award show. Prior we always send each other music that we love. He always talks about me in interviews, I always talk about him in interviews. I love natural real life collaborations," he relayed.

"This album was born on the internet, and I’ve had so much fun making it in front of all of you this past year. 2019 me used to think that in order to be an artist, you had to hide away and talk to nobody to make your art. Turns out you make MUCH better art when you involve millions of people in the process. (For me at least.) I hope you scream cry every word when I sing these songs on tour because they wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you. CHARLIE - out October 7th, 2022," he posted.
