Kapamilya heartthrob Piolo Pascual clarified last Saturday, July 3, in the press conference for Sun Life Philippines, what he looks for in a partner.
Piolo admitted that his views on love changed during the pandemic. The 45-year-old actor had the time to reflect during the height of COVID-19 during lockdown.
“During this pandemic, I realized, it’s not about having a partner per se but it is about having the independence to just live your life one day at a time. This pandemic has taught me a lot about discipline and it taught me to just appreciate life for whatever it gives you by the day,” he shared.
Piolo also revealed at the press conference that he wasn’t actively seeking out love at the moment. The actor believes in the power of destiny and his future partner will just pop up at the right moment.
“It’s about your feelings or if you feel something for that person and that person might have something that compliments you, or gives you that feeling or excitement that you have to be with someone. Hindi naman hinahanap yon, dumadating na lang,” Piolo added.
While the Flower of Evil actor isn’t actively looking for a relationship, he shared his preferences for an ideal partner.
“Values and your heart is in the right place, and love for family, country, and just having that relationship with the Lord," he confessed.
At the end of the day, an important part of choosing his life partner is what his heart tells him. Piolo claimed that his feelings towards someone is very important when it comes to committing himself to them.
“When you feel it, I think that will only happen when you’re able to find the words when you see that person and you go prepare. I wouldn’t have any criteria or requirements so to speak because at the end of the day it’s about the heart, it’s about your feelings," Piolo said.
