After announcing his decision to permanently leave his band Callalily last month, singer Kean Cipriano shared how he felt after performing in his first solo show since the separation. On his social media  accounts last July 3, the 35-year-old vocalist admitted he felt nervous before doing the sold out show held at the Winford Manila Resort and Casino.

He wrote,
“Thank you all for coming last night! I was hella nervous before the performance especially with everything that’s going on and being thrown at me when I decided to choose myself. Often times, people will loosely label you as selfish for choosing what’s best for you. Let them negate their world. I continue to eat judgment for breakfast.

“All I can say, at this point in my career, is never let outside noise steer you away from what your soul is saying. Move if you must, jump if need be.

“Thank you universe for a sold out show. I am truly grateful to each person that came through.

“Sobrang sarap ng tugtog kagabi. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung pagmamahal. Can’t wait for the next one.”

In the same post, Kean’s wife and OC Records co-founder Chynna Ortaleza gave her husband her vote of confidence by commenting, “Take care of yourself.. Listen to your gut. I will gladly give you time to honor yourself my dearest soul mate. Own your space. Own it well. I love you!”

After performing with the same band for the past 17 years, Kean revealed that he was ready to move on to the next phase in his life as Chairman and CEO of OC Records which he formed with his wife four years ago. In a previous interview he said, “nasa ibang phase na ako ng buhay ko and I have a lot of things to do now, I am focusing with OC records. May tiwala sa akin ang mga artists ko and I think that I need to do my job better and do better for this.”
