Admitting she has been feeling unhappy lately, singer Carol Banawa gave some advice to her fellow moms.

Carol, now based in the US, said she hasn’t been taking care of herself lately — resulting in her feeling unhappy about her health and the way she looked at herself.

“Lately, I have been really feeling ‘unhappy’ about my health and how I look. I felt like I have ‘let go’ and have not really taken care of myself,” she began.

While there’s nothing wrong with feeling comfortable with one’s skin, Carol said it led her to forget about how to “feel and look good.”

“I became too comfortable in my own skin and I have forgotten how it felt like to feel and look good,” she said.

The “Iingatan Ka” hitmaker then decided to work on herself by improving her fitness, her health, and the way she carries herself.

“So, I have decided to improve my fitness, my health, and how I carry myself. People who know me well, know that I always dress for comfort. I don’t really plan on changing much about how I carry and take care of myself,” she shared.

According to Carol, she will try to do her best to feel happy about herself and her health — especially since her life in the US doesn’t give her much time to fix herself up.

“Living here in the US and having to do everything yourself, doesn’t really give you the luxury of time to ‘fix yourself up.’ But I will try. Whenever I can. For me. So I can start loving and feeling happy about myself and my health again,” she stated.

She then listed down a number of things her fellow moms could try in terms of making changes with themselves so they could all “do it together.”

“Try to exercise everyday. I say try because there are still days I get lazy. It’s ok mamas, it is hard to commit. But let’s keep working at it. We will get there. Eye on the prize!” she said.

She went on: “No more wearing pjs all day. Again, I’m all for comfort but now, I will try my best to avoid doing this.”

“Find time to fix my hair. I ALWAYS WEAR MY HAIR UP My hair is naturally curly. So finding the time to fix it, is sooo hard. So time consuming. BUT, I need to make an effort to fix my hair if that is something that will make me feel good about myself. So I will,” she continued.

Carol ended her post by saying she will get a haircut and try a new hair color. “So, hello hair! Long time no see it’s time for a new cut and color,” she remarked.
