Hidilyn Diaz and her partner Julius Naranjo agreed to sign a prenuptial agreement.

Days before their wedding, Hidilyn Diaz and her partner Julius Naranjo revealed details about their relationship in Karen Davila’s latest vlog.

In the vlog, the couple revealed that Julius offered Hidilyn to sign a prenuptial agreement. Julius said it was never about the material possessions that brought him towards Hidilyn but rather his love for her.

“What’s hers is hers, What’s mine is hers,” Julius confidently stated.

“I think things like that are so normal these days. Whether it happens or not, when we get married it’s about loving each other. It’s not about the properties or whatever. It’s not about anything material. The marriage is about us, continuing to work for us,” he added.

This made the Olympic Gold medalist fall even harder for him as she saw how much her partner was willing to sacrifice for her.

“Napatunayan niya na mahal niya ako. Para sa akin kasi it’s just a piece of paper and what’s important is us,” she said.

The two shared more about their relationship, admitting that they thought about ending things prior to Hidilyn’s Olympic journey in Tokyo. However, it didn’t push through as they both realized how much love they had for each other.

“Kung mahal tayo ng isang tao, mag eeffort talaga at nakita ko sa kanya. Sinurrender niya yung buhay niya dun sa Guam para tulungan ako. He’s the one kasi nga sinusuportahan niya ako sa sports na pinili ko, sa pangarap na akala ng iba impossible pero sa kanya naniniwala siya na kaya ko manalo ng gold,” Hidilyn shared.

Julius, for his part, admitted that sacrifices had to be made for their relationship to work. He had to give up his career as an athlete and his passion for cameras and film to focus on being a coach for his partner.

Hidilyn also revealed that she is ready to commit to motherhood and leave the sport behind after Paris 2024.

The two will get married on the same day Hidilyn won the first Olympic gold medal for the country. They got engaged in October 2021 and have been planning their wedding since then.
