Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez has added another feather to her cap after graduating from college.

Beatrice finished her degree in Mass Communication from the University of San Jose-Recoletos on Friday, July 22.

The beauty queen took to social media to share an empowering message to mark this milestone in her life.

"'Explore this earth not seeking paths but instead making your own...' Sharing to you a line from my response [on] behalf of Batch 17 and 18 during the ETEEAP 17th Commencement Exercises yesterday. After years of attempting to get my degree in Mass Communication I finally completed my program, finishing as the Most Outstanding graduate of our batch," she wrote.

Beatrice looked back on the many milestones she experienced for the past years and attributed her success to her faith in God.

"From winning Binibining Cebu in 2020, to completing my Basic Citizen Military Training, winning Miss Universe Philippines, finishing Top 5 at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Israel in 2021, to finally getting my degree yesterday, it’s been years of achieving milestone after milestone. Looking back I can never believe how I made it way past every challenge. God walked me through each and every step without a doubt and I have faith that if it was possible for me then it is for you too," she stated.

She also extended her gratitude to the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) of the university.

According to the website of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), ETEEAP "is a comprehensive educational assessment program at the tertiary level that recognizes, accredits and gives equivalencies to knowledge, skills, attitudes and values gained by individuals from relevant work."

"[The beneficiaries] must have worked for at least five years in the field or industry related to the academic program they are obtaining an equivalency. They must also be able to show proof of proficiency, capability and thorough knowledge in the field applied for equivalency," CHED stated.

Beatrice also thanked the members of her academic community for supporting her journey throughout her stay at the university.

"I would not have been able to reach the peak of this journey without the persistent guidance and support of the ETEEAP family headed by Dr. Adela Catipay, Dr. Irene Pia, Dr. Mila Caballero, the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Glenn Pajares, my late adviser Dr. Jun Velez, Rev. Fr. Cristopher Maspara, Rev. Fr. Leo Alaras, and the rest of the OAR Fathers. I am also grateful to my family and friends for the love and support, Atty. Elaine T. Bathan, Sir Jessie Perez, and my Mama Ping and Ate Louise," she posted.

Concluding her post, the beauty queen remarked: "Until my next milestone... a Jaguar continues to move forward. Adelante!"

Prior to reaching her scholastic feat, Beatrice has achieved various milestones in her pageant journey including snagging the 2nd runner-up title at the Miss Mandaue beauty pageant in 2015.

Afterwards, she won the title of Binibining Cebu 2020 and represented her hometown at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
