Moira Dela Torre mourns loss of her longtime driver: ‘Hindi ko pa rin po alam paano magpaalam’

Known for her heart-tugging songs like “Malaya,” Paubaya,” and “Tagpuan” among others, singer and songwriter Moira Dela Torre mourned the loss of her personal driver and close friend whom she lovingly referred to as “Kuya Baj” in her latest Instagram post. The 28-year-old Idol Philippines judge shared what she will miss most about her former employee.

She wrote, “Kuya Baj, salamat po sa lahat. Hindi ka lang naging mabuti na driver sa'kin, kundi mabuting kaibigan narin. Lahat ng kaibigan ko at mahal ko sa buhay, mula banda hanggang kamag-anak, minahal mo rin.


“Hindi ko pa rin po alam paano magpaalam sa isang katulad mo, Kuya Baj. Kaya magpapasalamat na lang ako sa'yo... sa pagtahan sa'kin sa mga araw na mag-isa ako at sa pag-patawa sa amin sa bawat pagkakataong mahanap mo. Salamat sa pag-intindi kuya, at sa pagbigay sa akin ng pamilya nung mga araw na pakiramdam ko mag-isa ako. Mami-miss ko tawa mo, kuya baj. pati yung mga advice mo na minsan maka-Diyos, minsan bastos   pahinga ka na, kuya. Mahal na mahal ka namin. Miss ko na tawa mo. salamat sa lahat. Three years ago, Moira opened up about her struggles with mental health and shared words of encouragement to her 3.9M Instagram followers.

“Remember that you have conquered tougher days. NONE of this is permanent... so keep going, my friend! The pain you are suffering cannot compare to the joy that is coming! So at present, we can exercise the muscle of gratitude so much that it outweighs the muscle of worry. TOGETHER. You are stronger and braver than you think and you are most definitely not alone," she wrote. 

Moira recently went public about her separation with husband Jason Marvin Hernandez whom she married in 2019.
