ABS-CBN’s long-running noontime program It's SHOWTIME made its debut on TV5 on Saturday, July 16.
The Kapamilya show aired on the Kapatid network back-to-back with Lunch Out Loud.
In their TV5 debut, the It's SHOWTIME hosts performed in a grand opening number with the madlang pipol's participation. It's the first time that the noontime show had a live audience since the pandemic. The hosts also got reunited with the Showtime dancers and XB GenSan who participated in their grand production number.
"Dahil patuloy po natin minamanifest ang better days, ito na nga, another big door has opened for all of us right here, right now," Vice Ganda said after the opening number.
It's SHOWTIME's debut on TV5 instantly became a trending topic on Twitter with the #ShowtimeLiveSa5 topping the social media platform's trending list.
"Ang ating mga solid Showtimers nababasa ko sobrang excited din sila sa araw na ito. Kaya maraming, maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat," Vice added.
Vhong Navarro also expressed his gratitude to TV5 for welcoming them to their family.
"Maraming salamat, TV5, dahil hindi kayo nag-atubiling pagbuksan kami ng inyong pintuan para mas maging pangmalakasan na pagpapalaganap ng good vibes sa lahat ng madlang pipol araw-araw," he said.
Meanwhile, Ann said that It's SHOWTIME airing on TV5 means delivering more entertainment and happiness to a wider range of televiewers.
"We are making history dahil mapapanood niyo na ang It’s SHOWTIME sa TV5 starting this Saturday. Para sa mas pangmalawakang good vibes and unli-fun, ibig sabihin, mas pangmalakasang happiness for our madlang pipol," she stated.
It was on July 11 when ABS-CBN announced that the noontime show will be airing on TV5 from Monday to Saturday at 12:45PM to 3:00PM.
"The fun and camaraderie of the hosts of It's SHOWTIME will continue to be felt as they remain committed to serving our Kapamilya, Ka-A2Z, and Kapatid audiences," ABS-CBN said in a press statement last week.
"The collaboration among ABS-CBN Entertainment, Brightlight Productions, Zoe Broadcasting Network, and TV5 provides Filipino viewers with more fun and entertainment and brings an extended and enjoyable midday TV viewing experience," the statement added.
