Actress Bela Padilla reflected on the past year after her decision to move to Europe a year ago. On her Instagram, the 31-year-old actress recalled the challenges she had to overcome.
“This time last year, I left my comfort zone. I flew to Europe with the intention of living in London by September 2021. And I did it,” she wrote.
To commemorate the year that has passed, Bela went back to Zurich, Switzerland––the first place she went to last year. She can be seen enjoying the cold weather in her post.
“When I’m asked what I do for a living, I often joke that I’m jobless or that I’m on a sabbatical,” she shared.
Bela then continued to share how even though she joked about the status of her profession, she has seen growth in her career the past year. In 2021, the actress released 366, her first film as a director, with Zanjoe Marudo and JC Santos as part of her cast.
“[I] wrote two scripts that are now in preproduction, invested in things and people I believe in, started a business (@amberandaqua) with my friend, met amazing people who do what they love,” she added.
The actress also mentioned that she has already experienced so much in the past year. Bela shared that she attended events that she only previously saw on social media and visited countries that she only imagined when she was in taping tents back then.
In her 15-year career as an actress, Bela revealed that she could finally experience being herself and not the characters that she used to portray.
“I have such a great group of people around me constantly pushing me forward. I celebrate this move with an even more persistent drive, looking forward to what’s next. ❤️ take this as your sign to go to unchartered territories and to really live your life,” she said.
