BTS’s J-Hope will perform at Lollapalooza

J-Hope of BTS announced on his personal Instagram that he will be headlining this year’s Lollapalooza.

Last June 8, ARMYs were in for a surprise as the Main Dancer of BTS said he will be performing at the Lollapalooza event happening from July 28 to 31 in Chicago, Illinois.

The 28-year-old South Korean superstar couldn’t contain his as this will be his first performance in the said event. 

“This is going to be my first performance at @lollapalooza. It's a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history! I'm gonna give you guys a great show. Get ready to get crazyyyyyy,” he wrote.

Alongside J-Hope, his fellow labelmates and juniors Tomorrow x Together (TXT) will be performing at the event as well. Lollapalooza founder, Perry Farrell, welcomed both J-Hope and TXT into the Lollapalooza family. 

“These artists have been given great gifts in communication. Their global audience speak different languages but possess an intense passion for their music. Lolla is the place where all music genres live in harmony. These are the superstars of the global phenomenon of K-Pop, and we are so excited to have them at this year’s festival,” he said in a statement.

J-Hope will be performing on Sunday, the last day of the festival, alongside Green Day and Charli XCX to name a few. Meanwhile, TXT will be performing a day before J-Hope’s performance. They will be performing on the same day as J.Cole, Kygo, and Big Sean.

J-Hope is a member of the South Korean boy group BTS which has been dominating the local and international music scene. They debuted in 2013 with the song “No More Dream” and have since risen to global stardom.
