"Sobrang happy po."
This is what Anji Salvacion said when asked about the current state of her heart in an exclusive interview with PUSH last Tuesday, June 7.
"'Yung lagay po ng puso ko ngayon, sobrang happy po. I am happy po na I'm able... kasi I'm on this stage where I am so scared because I experienced na bigla na lang 'yung mahal ko sa buhay is mawala na lang bigla nang hindi ko alam. Nawala na lang ng parang bula. And it happened to my dad. So parang for me, nahirapan din ako [to open myself up to others], with guys especially," she said.
"But right now, slowly, parang masasabi ko na I'm happy with myself. Sobrang happy ako na I'm exploring din, I'm exploring life alone pa."
When it comes to her love life, Anji stressed that while she is not closing her doors to any possibilities, her focus right now remains on her family and showbiz career.
"Dadating at dadating din ako diyan. But right now, my focus is on my career and my family," she said. "Pero yeah, there are some people who inspire me and who make me happy."
Asked which qualities does she look for in a boyfriend, the "PBB: Kumunity Season 10" Big Winner refused to give an answer, and instead gave some advice for fellow women when it comes to dating.
"Ito 'yung ayaw kong sagutin sa totoo lang. Kasi I believe talaga na...Sa lahat ng mga girls diyan, if somebody asked you kung ano ang tipo mo sa isang lalaki, 'wag mong sasabihin. Kasi any guy can pretend to be that guy," she said.
"Keep it a mystery and when that guy is really genuine, you will see. You'll see. So never tell talaga what is your type of guy."
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old singer also talked about recent victory as the latest winner of PBB, saying that even though a week has passed, things haven't totally sunk in for her yet.
"It's been a week na so parang nag-sink in na siya but at the same time, I was still thinking na grabe. Sobrang hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na I'm in this place right now. Because as you can see din [sa previous episodes] every time na I get nominated and every time I get saved, laging nasha-shock na lang ako. And that's how it feels like until now. But slowly, sinasabi ko [sa sarili ko na] you're here. You're here for a reason. So that's why you need din to process it all so you're able to send din your message and inspire other people. 'Yun 'yung nasa isip ko," she said.
On what her next steps would be after PBB, Anji stressed that she is open to anything the ABS-CBN network and her management want to give her.
"I am so open with whatever ABS-CBN is going to give me. Especially my management. Kasi I really truly trust them, kung ano man 'yung ibibigay nila sa akin. And I know na hindi nila ako ipapahamak. I know din that they're going to give me something na they know na makakaya ko. So I trust the management with whatever naman they're going to give me. I am so okay with it," she said.
