Kyla Alvarez revealed to her friends and followers through a post on her Instagram on June 3 that she suffered her fourth miscarriage. In her post, the singer-songwriter could be seen with her baby bump, dancing happily. However, her caption in the post said otherwise.
“You have brought me so much joy, even for a few months that I carried you within me… It was all pure joy. But losing you.. again… for the fourth time is unimaginable. I can’t even put my feelings into words,” she wrote.
Initially, the 41-year-old R&B singer was hesitant to share the bad news since she didn’t publicly announce her pregnancy. According to her, rather than sharing the exciting journey her family was going through, she ended up sharing the grief and pain they’re feeling.
“I am screaming and crying in my head and I couldn't tell anyone,” she revealed.
Despite what she has experienced, Kyla has faith that things will be ok at the end.
“I thank God for his presence in my life. I thank God for touching my heart right at this moment. Everyday, I have to intentionally look for just about anything that’ll make me happy. I have to constantly remind myself that God has already placed people in my life to love—people that I need in life. He has blessed me with the best ones to love and love me back. Everything else is just [a] bonus,” she added.
The singer dedicated the end of her post to her angel baby. “And to you, my little one... I pray for you. I hope you’ve felt how much we longed for you, prayed for you and how much we love you...”
In July of 2021, Kyla announced her third miscarriage through an Instagram post as well. In 2018, she suffered two miscarriage only months apart.
Friends and supporters of Kyla left their thoughts and prayers in the singer’s comment section.
