Kim Seon-ho will be playing the lead role in the play titled, Touching the Void, which revolves around the real life story of two British mountaineers. The actor will be playing the role of Joe Simpson, one of the two mountaineers that came close to death during their descent from the summit of Siula Grande in Andes.

Touching the Void was written by Joe Simpson as he published the book to document what he had been through with his fellow mountaineer, Simon Yates. Later on, the book got a film adaptation and now a play.

In the poster where the actor’s face can also be seen, the caption translates to, “No one has ever seen this view before. Right now, we are the only ones who have seen it.” Based on the true story of the two mountaineers, they were the first ones to climb the west face of Siula Grande in history.

Kim Seon-ho previously starred in hit Korean dramas such as Start-Up and Hometown Cha Cha Cha. He also used to be a regular member of the Korean variety show 2 Days and 1 Night. The actor took a break to refocus on himself after having to reveal sensitive and personal information to clear his name. Back in 2021, the actor was faced with a controversy after his ex-girlfriend accused him of emotional abuse.
